A great track from an almost forgotten about band
Here's one that really does it for me, and it's one that makes you keep creeping up the volume lol. I`m guessing most of you never heard of???

I'm kinda surprised no one has said "Ghost Riders in the Sky".... maybe the best Western classic....and it makes me snicker when I hear the Burl Ives version lol.

When I had my kids and their spouses over last Saturday night to carve pumpkins I played all 70's 8 tracks for them. Yes, it included Thin Lizzy, Bob Seager, etc.

Bob Seager. Like a Rock.
Instead of 20 years, "...30 years, where did it go, 30 years now, I don't know....."

Grateful Dead. Touch of Grey

Yep, even at my age that one hits hard. Seems like yesterday I was an innocent little kid, no responsibilities, only cares in the world was who I was going to sit with in the cafeteria, and what we were going to do at recess. Where the hell did it go.

I know it was a protest song & not in favor of some "NOW"
(I hated hippies & everything they stood for)

but for the music value, it's a great song
(even If a--hole Neil Young was there)

Buffalo Springfield- for what it's worth
great tunes from a great time & turmoil,
I was 8 y/o, still one of my favorite songs of all time

Deep Purple
'Smoke on the Water'

there was a cool IHBA BFH drag boat/hydro fueler record holder
named after it
you could almost picture it going down the River in RedBluff Ca.
after listening/hearing that song

Ted Nugent
'Stangle Hold'

I know I picked my 1
but;

or
'Cat scratch fever'

love Uncle Ted

Today I would say "Eleanor Rigby", but tomorrow I might say "The Long and Winding Road".

Foghat - Slow Ride
opposite of what I did (lowriders song)
except the cruising part

takes me back to better times & cruisen' the boulevard in Walnut Creek
every Fri. Sat night, late 70's early 80s, if I wasn't out of town racing
even then sometimes we hightailed it back, just to make the cruise
stay till about midnight & then go out & meet up with all of the
gearheads/street racers/bench racers at Encino Grande Safeway
parking lot in Concord Ca, Willow Pass rd. & Concord ave,
we'd BS, talk cars/engines & act like fools, or race till all hrs in the early am,
great days, a huge part of my youth
