Pitman Arms Have Date Codes?

I have an idler arm or pitman arm in my stash of idle parts (lazy parts just hanging around for years and years not doing anything). There is a number cast in 14 349. What is the significance of the number? It has surface rust but is not greasy, may have been a never installed part. Thank you.

It is a best if used by date 349th day of 2014 that thing is spoiled you better toss it
