Well I just got back inside I had the guy next door ,his tree brake a huge *** muti limb branch 8-10" thick ,it hit the roof on the back corner I luckily had enough stuff to fix it temporarily . No more leaks

I noticed on the tape at the bottom of the first picture, 3.7 million without power. One of the guys at my work said his kid left the other day with the power company from our area. His kid was told, plan on being down there possibly up to a month.

So what's the plan if your without power for a month? Do you heat your water with electric, cook with it, no fridge, etc? Can't imagine, we've been out of power for a week before but it's usually do to ice so you just throw the food outside lol.

I think you guys misunderstood. The guy's kid might be down there for a month but the power shouldn't be out that long. I just spoke to friends in the West Palm area. They had power restored this morning already.

That's what I was trying to say. His crew could possibly be working down there for up to a month. There moving them around the State as needed, one area's power restore moved to the next.

Different areas have different time frames . I was told 2 days-2 weeks so that's a problem if we go 2 weeks I have enough gas for maybe 4 days if I use it sparingly. I will run the fridge get it as cold as it can get then kill the generator till it gets to warm then redo . We have water as of now so that's a plus ! But it could be cut off any day or moment.
Back to power my mother's house is 5 mins away and they said 2-3 weeks it's not near a necessity I guess . They are last to get fixed . My brother in law got power fixed already he's near the hospital! So it depends I'm on the main line so I should be fixed soon I hope no traffic lights are a bad thing people in fl. Already don't know how to drive add in no traffic lights it's like freaking bumper cars out there !

The company I work for sent 300 lineman. They were going to be staged at Lake City, just in time for it to hit.
Haven't heard much from them or where they will be working though.

Halaluaaa I'm back up and running! And to add to the good news both my 72 chargers the 64 300 k conv and the 68 sport fury conv all made it without even getting wet! My roof is a ok from the tree hit my fence was not bad I fixed it with the parts that came off of it.
I hooked my generator up at my mother's as soon as it was done her power came on . So I took it to the next in line and it's there now ! Being used . The old man wwent home then called to say he wasn't feeling good because it was hot. I went to bring him back to my house his house was full of carbon monoxide! I got a headache 2 mins in there so Windows open..... He's ok and safe at my place again! The guy next to him set his generator up and put it by his bedroom the exhaust was going under his mobile home and leaking up threw the floors! I'm glad I got to him when I did !

My in-laws power came back a couple of hours ago. They're up here in NJ with me and thinking about going back ASAP. Just worried about that shithead Jose roaming around the Atlantic. Gna wait and make sure it's not headed their way before they go back.
No damage to speak of to their house. Screens and door on the patio trashed and the food in the fridge gone after no power. They got off easy.

I do realize this now ! He actually brought it up an hour ago and asked if it would of killed him! I told him yes . He was grateful . I believe things happen for reasons. Me meeting him the way we did and so on. The way we work well together he's like another grandfather. Both of mine passed away and I'm grateful I have Pete . He's definitely different then most at his age he's chasing girls around telling them there husbands don't need to know... He is definitely one of a kind . And as he says it were two of a kind! We get along like we've known each other for ever in reality I've only known him for less then 9 months! He's a lot of work but it keeps my mind on the right path before him I was in a bad spot with my depression since then I've been to damn busy to be depressed! So I guess we can say were even now he saved me I saved him !

Well guys still long days of work I had 5 broken generator s show up for repairs 3 family's come over to cool off charge there stuff and take showers and cook real food for there family s for lunch dinner breakfast ect. People I've never actually meet I know they live around the corner but they were out walking around and looked like hell so in they came for awhile kids got some WiFi and video game time parents got a hot shower and a nap in a/c ect . I started this helping thing and I got 5 different houses near me doing it now . People in the neighborhood or good friends there family . I've never seen a neighborhood work so well as a group. They all say ever since I moved in everyone started talking with each other or helping each other because last year when we got hit I put my tool belt on and started house to house checking on everyone. Now everyone is helping each other . I still get the brunt of the, we need help ...... But this is how humanity is supposed to work! . We had a looter cruising threw again this time by the time he was spotted we were able to block his exit and the entrance he came in then me and my crew oof retired military ar's in hand got him to surrender and I cuffed him and called my buddy's in the p d. This guys house was full of generators, jewelry,lap tops ,two boats and a car trailer! This dude was busy ! It could of gone bad dude had a pistol on him but once he saw multi guns pointed at him he just said dont shoot me I ain't wantin to die today .I'm proud of my neighborhood working together threw all of this . Makes me believe in humanity a little more .
