Hello.
I have a 66 Coronet 426 with power drums.
It feels like that it`s not working.
When I press the brakepedal the engine rpm raises but it is very hard to press down.
I havè checked the valve on top of the booster and it seems to work fine.
I have search the net for parts but no luck.
Has anyone som suggestions?

The diaphragm in the booster is leaking, it must have a hole in it. Therefore when you step on the brake pedal it creates a vacuum leak which effects the idle by leaning it out and reduces the assist on braking. Buy a new booster or have that one rebuilt if you can find a place.

Thanks for the answers.
I will contact these 2.

Have the same 66,but a Satellite.
When I shut the car off you have to shove
brake pedal through the floor to keep it from rolling.
No problem except starting it on a grade.
Thought it should hold some vacuum when shut off?
Any answer to this??

Going to have to workout that right leg

You may have a bad valve on booster. I'm no expert on that.
^^^^^
EDIT added may
