It sold so his mind must be fine
When I last talked to him about a month ago, he was working a deal with a guy from Germany for a price in the mid-50's.

I went and looked at this car last week. The car is very tired. Pretty much everything needs replacing or restoring. There is rust through on the inner fender by the battery tray. Paint is very thin with a poor blend on the hood from an accident in the 70's. About 20-25 dings on the horizontal surfaces, almost like hail damage. He told me there was a guy from Germany interested. Don't know what he ended up getting for it, but I believe he told RC the guy was offering mid 50's. 35K would have been the absolute tops I would have paid for the car, probably closer to 30, and I would have still been upside down in no time at all. I didn't even make the guy an offer. I think if the buyer purchased the car site unseen, they are going to be disappointed.Did it say the selling price? It had $69k or OBO.
From what you describe you are in the high side still, where there is rust started there will be lots of hidden rust, but you been down that road on the 69 build,n you are 100%rite in being disapointedI went and looked at this car last week. Well, I am not saying it is a rusty car. The battery tray and inner fender are rusted through from leaking battery acid. I suppose there could be damage to the frame rail as well, but I couldn't get under there to check. Otherwise it was extremely solid. It is a 68 4-speed car with all original parts however, and I would think that 30k would be a decent buy in this market. Hopefully the new owner will find FBBO and post up a restoration thread if that is what his intentions are. From what you describe you are in the high side still, where there is rust started there will be lots of hidden rust, but you been down that road on the 69 build,n you are 100%rite in being disapointed
