Base is the big thingThanks, Hudson. So... if one wanted to swap a 383 to a 440 they would just need the correct air cleaner base, no?
Also, if one wanted to swap intake manifolds on either engine, they would need to make sure that manifold sits at the same level or lower (to make up with a spacer??), using the appropriate base. That sound about right?
Thanks,
Mikey
Filter element Mikey. With the Torker 383 and Holley carb I used the KN air filter ( shorter in height than Fram CA 305 ) and no issues with the lid hitting the box but just make sure your air cleaner stud isn’t to tall or you’ll have a hole in the box. RickMWbird, are you talking aftermarket round air cleaners or the different filter elements inside of the OEM RC housings?
Thanks,
Mikey
Hi Mikey Yes the round filter KNThanks Rick. So please bare with me here... the CA3-5 is round so did you just use that round air cleaner in the RC air cleaner assembly? Apologies if I'm missing something.
Thanks,
Mikey
