I had to start this post, as getting up there one tends to kick oneself for passing on that one Mopar.
I will start it off with the one on top if my list!
Lets see if anyone else is moping about that lost car.
1988: I responded to an ad in the Houston paper for a 1969 Hemi Superbee.
40k actual one owner car, Black Black, black. he wanted $8,000 for it.
After looking it over, I said: How can you ask that price?
I had just sold my nice 68' R/T charger for $1,500 Bucks.
I went home..
The rest is History!ARGH!

1989: responded to an ad for a 70' cuda 440 six barrel 4 speed plum crazy with black interior
Original owner priced at 7,500 may as well have been 75,000 to me. I regret not signing my life away to buy it.

1979 black,black,black 71 GTX, 440+6, 4sp, 410 Dana . $3500. Had a little rust in rear quarters.
1997. 1965 Plymouth belvedere1 4door 4speed 426 streetwedg.
1 of two built.

Talked my parents into ordering a new 1971 Plymouth Road Runner (I was 16 at the time). Before they went into the sales person's office to finalize things, he took them out back to see if they would be interested in a leftover yellow 1970 Road Runner. They took one look at it, and decided it was not for them (us?). It had a pointy nose and a big wing on the back. (took place at Normandin Chrysler-Plymouth, San Jose, CA circa 1971).

I can't even fathom the regret!

A 70 `cuda 4 speed dana 440-6 shaker etc.
that had a transplanted 426 Hemi from a buddy Roland
he was selling for $12k IIRC, back in the early 80's
it was more of a racecar/pro-street build than a stocker...
I could have got it for $10k & I passed...

They tripled in value the next couple of years,
now they're way too much to buy, I'd have to build my own...
$50k-$75K probably...

A 69 Charger 500 white with Hemi car in 1977 for like $7500 IIRC
I was just out of HS didn't have the $$$,
tried to get a loan, I could finance it...
It was a well known car around Concord Ca.,
the owner gave me 1st crack at it,
I'd stop by in my 68 Charger R/T
I use to hang around his garage & talk cars as a teen...
It sold quick it was gone in a couple of days,

70 Superbird in 1985, guy wanted $7200 and i only had $6800 guy wouldn't take it.

I cry thinking about these:

1983? -71 Cuda 440 6 barrel, Red, billboards, it was an auto, 35K mi, $3500. I wanted a 4spd.

1985? - 68 Dart GTS conv, 340, auto, triple green, missing carb and title, minor rust,$300.
I wanted a 4 spd.

1987? - 70 Coronet R/T, 4 spd, yellow, someone stole distributor, carb and grille.
$2500, I passed, it wasn't complete

:(
Lots others, but the ones I regret the most

Coming back from SE Asia, I could have ordered a 70 Hemi Cuda, 4spd, to be picked up in California when I landed. The price IIRC was about $5,200. Might has well been a Million because it was about 2x my annual pay at that time. Obviously, I had to pass.

1983: Yellow '71 R/T Charger auto - $1500
1985: '69 383 Road Runner with A/C & air grabber hood vents, no box (was that stock?)....bought for $250 without motor & sold a month later for $250 to a guy I "sort of knew" who had just wrecked his '68 Road Runner because I felt sorry for him... he never paid me the last $150 either.

Bought my Bee with my dad co-signing and 6 months later the A12's came out & I knew he wouldn't do it again! Jeez I loved that intake setup.

The 68 post/bench/318 Coro 440 i HAD!! Ended up with a 1000 miles between us & i didn't try hard enough to get it back & tje Guy ended up leaving where it was stored & had to liquidate....the car ended up being gutted & turned into a strip car. In 1990. 60,000 mile accident free, absolute unadulterated original copper(no vinyl) car that just loved to be pushed hard straightening out the twisty blacktop. My favorite past car second only to my Mangusta. Miss it more than my Morris/Austin 1275 Cooper S. Was a 63 Morris Cooper S 998 with a 66 Austin Cooper S driveline, which was no slouch....speaks high of the Coronet.
If i had that Coro today, i'd be sticking a 4.7 SOHC Corsair motor (late model)in it & a MKVlll IRS. The Corsair only weighs 430 lbs. That'd make for some happy front tyres & brakes.

1983 70 superbird 440 six pack auto on the floor for 3,000 still kick myself for that one 1984 70 TA challenger 340 six pack for 400. passed because it had a trans leak still kick myself for that one also
