can't seem to find answer with search can I put jackstand with wood under LCA to load / compress ..front suspension and just take it apart with pickle fork and take out old balljoint or do I need to deal with torsion bars ? Thank you in advance guys

I would loosen the adjuster nut on the LCA, don't think you have to pull it all the way off, that's how i did my 67

Before you loosen torsion bar loosen ball joint bolt 5/6 turns. Then separate ball joint with pickle fork. Then loosen torsion bar. Remove nut and replace ball joint.
Your helping separate the taper with the tension of torsion bar.
