I need to do my wheel wells and inside of quarter panels, I don` need concours correct but want it to look pretty close to the factory stuff. Resto Rick says one gallon and a quart to one gallon and a half to do all that but is only sold by the gallon so I would need two gallons at $103 a piece plus shipping and a shutz gun. Raptor liner is $121.28 wit free shipping and includes a shutz gun. Can I get the Raptor to spray on thick and look like the factory stuff or do I spend twice the money for the Resto Rick stuff?

I used the Raptor on my 71.

Can control it pretty good with air pressure. I did the bottom of my 74 with it also.

I used Raptor on my GTX in 2015 and it is doing great. That would be my choice.

Resto ricks undercoat is very close to factory look.
And it doesn't have a texture like 80 grit sandpaper.

More on Resto Rick, everything I've bought from him has been great, including hood hinge rebuild service.

Looks like it goes on pretty thick.
Sprayed alot of Raptor, like T2R9 posted air pressure and distance will.control the texture.
Let each coat flash off so you don't puddle it.
A 4qt. Kit will do a 6ft truck box including header and sides 2 thick coats.

Neither does Raptor Liner !!!

FWIW 4 quarts will not do a complete b-body underside from firewall back. What you see below is 7 quarts - one coat. Also, it really needs to be applied in a short window otherwise it needs to be scuffed before another coat can be applied. Do all your gun adjustments then shoot it in one coat. This was the "tintable" Raptor Liner and is a perfect match to the body color. For reference, the black is rubberized undecoating and both have the same texture.

The OP should be fine with a 4-quart kit. Unopened extras can usually be sold.

Why in the world would you want an orange textured underside of your mopar?

A lot of guys fully paint the underside body color and the Raptor liner gives it better protection from dirt, rocks etc. so why not? If I wasn`t going for the factory look I would do the complete underside of mine.

I have always used Rick's stuff, but from the pics above, that Raptor looks decent as well.

I used the tintable Raptor in gray to go with the silver on my 65 Belvedere. Easy to apply, I used 2 coats.

Sprayed mine in 2011 with Herculiner and still looks the same to this day. I adjusted the air pressure to copy like the factory and believe me I know. This car had factory undercoating and I scraped it all off. Pic is not super clear

Looks good I like the match I just have seen it on a complete car colour match.

On another note it’s your car, there is free speech. These cars are very personal if I didn’t like it I wouldn’t say anything. That’s a hot car you got man.

If we were face to face and I said your wife looked dumb or she looked like **** would you be good with that buddy?

Point is car is personal line your wife pal.
