Just traded a lo spartan horn for a repo beep beep horn in black. My daughter loves the road runner and her car all deck out that way.( front plate, mud flaps, windows sticker, heck even her screen saver is that roadrunner guy) have to figure out a plan to install and wire a button near dash to blow that horn..

It's a 17 outback. If she rolled into a car cruise and the outback goes beep beep does that give her roadrunner clone status???

You have to blow the horn twice to make it go beep beep. I thought the RR horn was only purple, but I could be wrong.

Super easy, mount the horn, a horn relay and a push button. I’m not sure it would qualify as a Roadrunner clone but it sounds like your daughter would love it anyway…

Horn relay?? Thought I could just run wire off battery to button to horn then ground. Wow been awhile since I rig something lol

It's black and am told repo so idk maybe I'll paint it black and rr sticker it. It's going to be a Xmas present. Great geuss I'll be out in garage Xmas day lol

What's next for her idk and seems like she has me wrapped around her finger

At shows, people (kids and adults) that are genuinely interested in the car, I always ask them if they know the cartoon. You would be surprised how many adults/parents (Millennials) and how many kids say no. Conversely and equal amount say yes. I always give them the Beep Beep. Great laughs from everyone, even the guys parked next to me that didn't realize the Birds did that. Fun stuff.

You "can" just run it through a switch, but it will sound anemic and possibly burn out the switch. Using a relay gives full juice to the horn, without running all that juice through the (likely Chinesium plastic) switch.
