These brave people sheltered at least 3 seals with their boat while out fishing in Canada. The Killer Whales knew the seals were there, and kept circling the boat waiting to grab an easy meal.

These people are idiots. Far too many seals out this way. While geese hunting, we counted at least 200 at the mouth of the Fraser gorging themselves on Chum Salmon. Picture is a little blurry as these things stunk so much we had to rip by.

I always think of it this way. If Disney or PBS was doing a story about killer wales and how if the hungry mamma whale will lose its calf if it doesn't get a good meal soon, we would be rooting for the whale.

If the story was about seals we would be happy the seal made it.

My son works part-time at a fancy car wash. A rabbit got spooked and jumped the wrong way near the wash. Can't describe it here. I'll tell you the rest in a PM if you want.

I think this is just more about animal intellect/instincts...and not feelings. LOL Just a cool happenstance.

Mother nature is a cruel B-tch at times,
that's why they are called animals,
yes an Orca is an animal/mammal,
got the name Killer Whale for a reason...

Everyone needs to eat, someone is someone else's pray,
if not an animal, it's a man...

Cool to see one get away every once in a while...
That video link after, with the otter was cool too,
sad she lost the baby...

They use to play with me & my leash on my surfboard here in Calif.
smart investigative animals...

I'm not a big fan of seals
BUT;
Hard not to rout for an underdog,
seals are really a problem in some areas,
with sharks & killer whales, they have a real gauntlet
to overcome sometimes...

Whale lives Matter...

I'm guessing it was a car jackrabbit since you are in Colorado.
Maybe it was trying to clean up.
In the southeast, we have eastern cottontailed rabbits.
I'm only a little curious why you can't post the story.
Perhaps because it would be too hare raising?

oh... from the title I thought the thread was about a piece of food that fell off Rosie O'Donnell's plate at a seafood restaurant in Toronto.
