That she wants a '71 cuda. At first I was like " yeah, stand in line", then she proceedes to show me the boxes of receipts for parts and services I have bought on the various cars I have had during our 3 year marriage, and unfortunaely, doing math as well, when she got to the 130k mark, I had no choice but to crumble under the preasure. So she is apparently serious.

Should I just kinda let this slide and wait to see if it's just a fad thing, or start looking for a good roller...................

Not even a question, start looking! more Mopars the better!

compromise with a 72-74 Barracuda... tail panel is repopped and so is the grille... fill the side markers and all is well in the world

Yeah I know, but I thought it was a good idea when I undertook this investment.......

Hey, look at it this way - many wives would have looked at the receipts and shot you or divorced you or made you sell your rides and remodel the kitchen with the money. This one wants to ADD a nice car to the family motor pool. Go with the flow, dude! You got a KEEPER!

SEMI HEMI is from your area, er, exact town.

Get her the Cuda and be happier than a .. then a..a..a,a ,a well almost as happy as a mega millions lotto winner. Ok, you'll spend alot, but I have to agree, adding a car to the stable for the huhnny is better than having a hunny that hates cars.

You'll get to drive it and work on it and enjoy it with her while you teach her a few things about it. Quality time!

(Talk about getting your prioritys straight, your both headed down the right path as far as I'm concerned!!!!!!)

no problem reselling a cuda if you buy it right when the fad goes

hmmm so wheres the question in this?....sounds like a no brainer to me and a win win

I have looked around locally, but dont think I'm going to go balls to the wall hunting for it untill the Satellite is at the very least everyday driveable. I have learned my lesson on having way too many projects going on at one time. I have a '69 buick electra 225 convertible in the garage door behind the Satellite that i started disassembling 4 years ago, and havent really messed with since.( at least it hasnt started rusting at all yet).

The onlyone I found locally the guy wanted 8 grand for and it needed trnk and floorpans, all the glass but theback, no engine, no tranny, and no wheels. Hell, damn car was listed as being " ready to start your HEMI CLONE"........8 grand my ***.......I can semi remember the names of about 20 strippers in Vegas that that kind of cash would be better spent on............

:rolling::rolling::rolling:

That reminds me, a buddy of mine got me to go to the Cairmont Lounge, once back before I was married, and I got escorted out after saying " OMG,.....it's true!!!!.....I have found where old strippers go to die!!!!!

I hear Blondie the bartender has been working there since 1950.......:tongueflap:

Funny you should say that. I went in a BBQ joint the other day (place never looks open) The blonde behind the counter told me the place had been open for 53 years, and SHE had worked there for 35 of those years.
