Stock ignition wiring to MSD

Hello all, I'm sure this horse has been beaten but I haven't been able to find what I'm looking for.

68 RR was priorly converted to electronic ignition. I am now converting entire starting circuit and electrical to MSD. Aside from tying the ballast resistor lines together I would like to know:

Is there a schematic somewhere that will show me which components can be removed and associated wiring changes to go along with?

Trying to clean up as much as possible under the hood and I appreciate any help you might be able to shed...

Are you going with a MSD 6al? or are you going ready to run distributor.
