The end of an era....Sacramento raceway drag strip officially closed.

I raced there a few times over the years but wasn't an avid drag race guy. Our Sacramento Mopar club was involved in some of the Mopar specific events. It was fun while it lasted but the owner has been trying to sell for over 6 years. I was told that the county specifically stated that once any new owner takes over, drag racing will not be allowed so this sale means the end.

we lost Atco a few months ago......... I remember listening to the races when I was little, as it was only a few miles away as the crow flies......... seems we caught the tail end of the best time to be alive, all the youngsters worry about today is which phone takes the best selfie. Sucks to be them.
