What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

I cut up some beef into steaks this morning

I went walking.
For awhile now for the exercise I go to a local park and walk up a long hill, I don't know how long, but at first it had me really out of breath and heart pumping like crazy to make it halfway to the top. Eventually I got to where I can do the whole trail but I have to take multiple breaks to catch my breath.
My new strategy now is go as long as I can before I need a break, and then thats it, turn around and head back. Hoping that strategy will get me to where eventually I do the whole trail without a break. Just go a little further each time. Since I'm between jobs I can actually go multiple times during the week.

Blew snow again.. ffs.... and more Grandparent stuff. You wouldn't know it, but temp is 102.8, so we got her and the 2 year old went to Day Care. Mommy is on day 2 with a new Architect firm, after saying see ya later to the one she's been at for almost 10 years. 2nd Day and they sent her to Niagara Falls to see a major client, I guess she knows what she's doing! I'm betting we'll be sick by Saturday... JHC.

Ahh yes. Nature's little petri dishes. Cute litl buggers though :)

Getting a little sick is a small price to pay, to spend all that time with them.
Last thing we need right now is to get sick again, as it took us almost 10 days to recover from food poisoning in the past 2 weeks and I bought the Wife tickets South for Christmas.. leave on the 11th.

Found this 15 dollar vacuum pump at a thrift store.

A buddy of mine 'stole' one from the refinery lab and I ended up with it. I've used it many times and still have it.

My walking is mostly in the shop nowadays looking for stuff that I forgot about last week or even yesterday!!!

When I was in the AF overseas, I got food poisoning twice with one hospital stay that lasted two weeks! And the AF is supposed to have the best chow of ALL the other military outfits in the USA AND abroad. What can I say since I have pretty much an iron gut and pretty much nothing much bothers me. Was careful from then on until I got out. Got sick once when I ate some chicken that wasn't fully cooked about a year latter from a cafeteria in 75 and haven't been 'polluted' by food since!
