Picked up a NEW Deere S110 sunday, wow, what a difference. 1 acre, 1/2 is woods. The 18yr old Craftsman dad bought new back in the day did its job, kept it going, last 4 yrs was requiring more service to keep going, getting hard to get parts. Gave it to my younger brother

Last 2 times I mowed, the engine surged and sputtered, but only after I was 3/4 done mowing.

Might be the year plus old gas I stockpiled the first time it went to $3.95 and all the doom and gloomers said it would be $6 in no time and never come back down.

It is non-eth, though.

Probably ought to get a can of fresh 93.

I wonder why it let me get 3/4 done both times.

Nope, happens every spring for years now, never an issue.

Exactly. Anything more than about 6 months can be an issue, but end of Nov to mid April is okay.

I always use non ethanol gas in the last couple of fills before parking for the winter. No problems in spring.

Today was the day and I have never before in my lifetime looked forward to actually cutting grass. Not even when I got paid 10 bucks to do so in the 70's! But the opportunity to wack 10 feet at a time was great, but it might have been too soon... fortunately my truck with the Wife driving pulled it out without rutting up the runway, right in the touch down zone!
