The individual that I have do my media blasting has a 66-7 charger. I did not think to grab pics when I dropped my stuff off to him. Car looks like it has had an older 70s-80s restoration. It looked like an old parade cruiser Paint was shiny but heavily spider webbed. The car did not appear to have any rust or body damage. There was a large area on the driver side rear roof that was sanded to bare metal. The car is green, black interior 318 auto car. It has been sitting for a while, he had just gotten it running, but do not know the current status of everything else mechanical. Interior was clean and looks like it was reupholstered. He is going to give me a price on it when I go to pick up my stuff. If this was a 2nd gen charger, it would be a 30-40k car. What does a first gen run in this condition.

Since we don't have pictures, a lot of silly numbers will show up. :poke:

I'll be that guy...

66 would be an A engine.
67 would be an LA engine.
If it has all the trim and dash is intact then how much is operable it still depends heavily on the condition.
But a small block is not as desireable as they are heavy cars.
For me rust free puts you at $10K, maybe more as the interior in good shape adds a bunch of value it's not easy to find in very good condition.

From scrap to the mid-$30s. No pics, that is all you're likely to get on a WIW question.

Except there was no 440 available in 66

I will grab pics when I go back in a few days. Just wanted a heads up on price. He was trying to sell it paired with a really nice 440 auto 78 dodge pickup for 30k. The truck was quite a bit nicer. He didn't know what he wanted for the charger.

I like the 7K number, these cars are not popular, and parts are hard to find and expensive.

Spider webbed paint and a big bare metal patch on the roof with a 318 doesn't sound like anything over 10K

What is the price guide source please?

Collectorcarmarket.

Yes, they have some issues with available options and engines, but for the most part they've been pretty darn close and have been my "go to" source since they were "Old Cars Price Guide" in print form.

I like it better than Haggerty's becase they have no vested interest in the insurance value.
