Would you answer the call once again?

Let me more clear regarding my previous post - if I wasn't clear enough. I'm going absolutely f**king nowhere to fight this phony corrupt hard at work contingent who's getting our boys killed in some far away place where we've no business being. Let's be clear and honest - the purpose of these so called wars have nothing to do with defending the homeland as many would like to have you believe. I too was a hawk and a believer - but after 5 - 10 - 15 - 20 years with zero accomplishments - then leaving a large contingent of Americans along with $90 billion of the most high tech weaponry on the planet in the hands of the enemy - while ferrying out plane loads of those I could give a rats *** about only to come here and be a further burden on our troubled Republic. Guess who they'll support for "saving" them when they're fast tracked to citizenship? Our boys suffered how many thousands of life altering maiming injuries, not to mention those that left it all on the battlefield - for what? The true back story is sickening - Starting right from the beginning until now. The corruption and raping of the American public is as sickening as it gets - while at home these same "people" are trying their best to ensure the destruction of the Republic most of us love and would do anything to defend and save. For that I will take up arms and risk my life to the end - for what could be as I said earlier - the 1770's all over again. The British are already here - they may look the same as us - have the same accent speak - but you can be sure they're not "us". There is no longer any illusions - "they" don't want anything like the Republic most of us have loved, fought for and died for to keep it intact. "They" want something completely different and will do anything (as has been demonstrated) to get what They want. The Constitution to them is an impediment. The values and virtues by which this once great Republic was founded on is nothing more to them than another such impediment.

For all of that I will proud to be first in line to defend and even die for if necessary to STOP them from achieving their goals - and yes even if it ends up wholly internal - May God save our Republic! May God Bless America once again!

This man gets it...
I signed up & served because I love this country & the ideals it was founded upon.. Before I served myself
I grew up as a military brat, saw much of the US plus a good bit of Europe & the Middle East... We here in the US have a better life than most of the world, plenty of people today haven't got a clue of what the reality is, many are brainwashed by colleges to hate America... Many of these "educated" who hate our country are in positions of power & seem to be on a path to destroy our future...
Honestly, I'm glad my dad passed away before this world truly fell off a cliff.... He served with honor in WWII, Korea & Vietnam... To see where the country he loved has gone would have torn his heart out...

I’m not a veteran, but I have been deeply troubled by they way our veterans have been treated by our own government. Seeing soldiers prosecuted for murders committed on the battlefield for instance.

I no longer trust our government with the lives of our great young men and women.

Will it be WWIII or American Civil WarII ??????
The fight here will be deemed a Civil War, but in actuality, We will be fighting Forces from around the World, to include CCP & PLA, Neo-Nazi's (Ukrainian), Islamic Jihadist, South & Central American Socialists, and All the Illegal Alien Invaders that have Walked Freely across Our Open Borders. I forgot to Add a Big Player to Our Enemy Combatants, the United Nations Forces, who are also here now. How Ironic is that, that We will be fighting so many combatants, that OUR Tax Money paid to Equip...

Being almost 70, and never having had the
honor to serve in our nation's military, I can
still pull a trigger, and will do so to defend
our republic. Consider me militia. I have
a 2nd ammendment God given right to do
so. And I'll fight right along side of my
son, a nine year veteran with three
combat tours in Iraq.
X2, I have never served our country and will always be sorry for that. With that being said and all that I have because of this great country, just point and tell me what time you want me there!!!

I would humbly serve and defend all that past and current soldiers protected for us

This is still my Bona Fides at the young age of 73 years. It never leaves me and is for life. Despite my limitations physically from 34.5 years in the USAF, my mental faculties are still in tack and my trigger finger is in perfect shape. I would not however, sign up at this present time even I was able because of the feckless malignant leadership that is currently running the Military and our involvements Let alone our Nation!!!. But a down right threat to our Republic and the Constitution? You're DAMN SKIPPY I am all in!!!

The Oath of Enlistment Examining the Oath
I (name) do solemnly swear (or affirm):
Signifies a public statement of commitment.
You are accepting responsibility for your
actions. (Integrity First and Service Before
Self)
That I will support and defend the
Constitution of the United States: You are
not swearing to support the President, the
Country, the flag or a particular service, but
rather the Constitution which symbolizes all
of these things. (Airman’s Creed)
Against all enemies, foreign and domestic:
We must always be prepared for current and
future wartime operations. (Service Before
Self and Airman’s Creed)
That I will bear true faith and allegiance to
the same: An active decision on your part,
delegated to no other, yours alone to make.
Weighing the costs, in liberty you choose.
(Service Before Self)
And that I will obey the orders of the
President of the United States; and the
orders of the officers appointed over me:
I respect senior leaders and decision makers
and will follow all legal orders. (All Core
Values and Airman’s Creed)
According to regulations and the Uniform
Code of Military Justice: I will honor and
uphold all military rules and regulations. (All
Core Values and Airman’s Creed)
So help me God (optional): Signifies truth
and commitment to what you have sworn to
in the oath. It is a call to a higher being or
divine agency to assist with ensuring your
own integrity and honesty. (Integrity First)
You know the Air Force
Core Values and the
Airman’s Creed...
But, do you understand the
meaning and history of the
Oath of Enlistment?
“I [state your full name], Do
solemnly swear (or affirm)
that I will support and defend
the Constitution of the United
States against all enemies,
foreign and domestic; that I
will bear true faith and
allegiance to the same; and
that I will obey the orders of

My understanding is that if you’re in the military, and you are ordered to deploy, you don’t have a choice weather to go or not.
So all of you guys are saying, after everything that has happened with our last few wars, and the conflicts of interests our leaders have considering the family business interests in current war zones, that you would still step up if ordered to say, Ukrain?
No doubts?

I salute all of you who have served our great nation. And Thank You

If you have taken the oath to serve, as analyzed above, you follow orders. if you chose not to, you will be court-martialed and probably sent to prison. You do not get to choose what orders you'll obey.

In 1977 I volunteered for submarine service on Fast Attacks and Boomers - I did service on both. It has been on my mind lately with the crap that has been going on in the world if I may be called upon to once again give my all going forward. I'm an old fat guy now but I would unequivically force myself down that hatch (tight fit but I think that I'd squeeze through) to perform as a Sonar Supervisor in a Fast Attack, no questions asked. What would you do? Boomers not so much as I would want to fulfill a Hunter/Killer role going forward.

Chuck (snook)

I was on Frigates and Destroyers. My job was to find you guys and maintain the equipment used to find subs. Would I do it again if needed? Hell yeah!

Have you ever served? They don't own you for life... They own you for the duration of your enlistment... After your active duty you may be on in-active duty for a period but when that ends you've fulfilled your commitment...

Beyond that any duty you have is to your sense of duty & commitment to your fellow soldiers..

If you're asking me if I personally have served, the answer is yes. 4 years Submarine Service. I agree that after your 6 year obligation is done, your oath to serve expires. I was stating what is expected of you while you are active. Sorry for the confusion.

I also think you've misconstrued what many of us were saying. It requires a bit of reading between the lines. I'm not going to spell it out for you anymore than has already been done. You may want to review a number of the posts to get the point being referenced. It has nothing to do with prior service. following orders etc. Pls take another moment to reread and reanalyze the context of which we speak.

All I can say is God bless all that have served and those who will serve our country in the future ! I never did and it is one of the biggest regrets in my life , to old now , but I will pray for our country and support who ever will fight for our country.

I did not join our of some sense of duty. I joined because in my part of the country the steel industry collapsed. I have no interest in pounding nails or finishing drywall, not that interest rates at the time were conducive of buying a new home anyway. Working as a mechanic on the boring junk automakers were spitting out in 1983 was not interesting. Trucking was a thought but...... So I ran through all the branches. Ended up in the Navy, in engineering. Surrounded by machinery all the time, I had found my place. No desire to carry a rifle through mud and rain, but if you need power to bring weapons or aircraft to the shores of a threatening entity I would do that again.
