FOUND WTB 1971 Bbody console mounted ashtray

Mounts in the rear of the console. I think Ebody's use the same console? Don't want the "new" chinese stuff. Don't need the the bezel, but will take the whole assy if you don't want to separate and it's in good shape.

Here is one of these re-pop bezels.
The retaining tabs are approx 1/2in from the flange, but the top of the console is only about 1/8in thick.
Am I missing something here?

Original bezel—retainers very close to the flange.

Conclusion; Re-pop bezels are junk and will not fit the console.

Absolute junk. They don't even come close to fitting. I sent a repop back. I mean, it's not even close.
