When we were kids on the farm we ate a lot of cream of wheat if we ate cereal. Luckily, my Dad preferred eggs and hamburgers for breakfast, which we ate after milking the cows in the morning.
I had some on toast about half hour ago. I eat it everyday, it's an acquired taste for sure. Not to drift the thread toooo far, but seeing the Aussie post above makes me need to ask if anybody there actually eats vegemite?
My niece brought me back a jar of Kraft Vegemite....my GOD is that some nasty tasting #$%^ !!!!
How the hell anybody eats it is a mystery .
I had Cheese & Marmite sandwiches again today..... morning smoko and lunch. My bud Andre wasn't too happy with me about 1:00pm..... it was a confined space and the place started to wreak of rotten eggs after a while.I had some on toast about half hour ago. Back when we thought the world was more normal.
I love the taste of oats. Life cereal is great, though I will put a teaspoon of sugar on it. When I was a kid, our family toured the Quaker Oats cereal factory. I'll neverI'm a hybrid kind of guy. I usually mix Life with Crispix. Maybe throw some multi grain cheerios in for a triple header.
I haven't put sugar on cereal in decades - probably since I was a kid. Hard to believe we even did that. The sugar on Life is enough sweetness for me. When we were still camping, I liked to get the individual boxes and have Sugar Smacks or Frosted Flakes for a little treat.
Another treat is to put some half and half on the cereal - mixed in with the milk. It's really creamy that way. Actually, after decades of drinking 1%, even whole milk has that effect, now.
