Screwed by a fellow FBBO member it would seam.

I try to stay away from guys that only sell parts and do not participate in any of the other forums.......

there have been a couple instances where I have bought a few things from guys here and there that had a whopping 6 posts that were nothing but for sale adds, but only because I really needed what they had. in general , if they cant at least introduce themselves and show a little of what they are working on , I don't associate. sometimes it bugs me that some people only use these forums to sell their junk and nothing more. especially at other places where they carpet bomb the for sale section with rusty junk over and over, with no other posts. but whatever lol

:tool: :tool:

I also have bought parts from people that only had a few posts and all in the classifieds but I try and search their user name at other boards to see what kind of history they have. Many use the same name and so do I but at a couple of places I go by Cranky1 because someone already had taken Cranky already but wasn't active....

Well, looks like he "Sold Out"! All of his for sale items are "sold".

Looks like he is having a hard time buying anything now too!

See ya!
That's exactly what I figured would happen, take down his post's, get a new name and start over. Didn't figure he was serious about paying up and I really wish there was a way of identifying him after he changes his name. I guess we'll just have to keep our eyes out for the same parts if he's that ballsy enough to try. From here on out when I'm selling anybody who isn't a regular on here has to prepay (money in my hand) before I ship but for those of you that I kinda know I'll still try to get it out ASAP. Thanks for giving him hell guys

I don't know of any honest person who would expect you to ship a part before you had payment. I know you're trying to be a nice guy, but no business, be it online or brick and mortar, would last very long without a prepayment policy. Why be any different? As the saying goes, friends are friends, but business is business. It's just the way it should be done...

well, we tried..but we ain't gonna roll over either...I hope everyone who has been a part of this thread will keep an eye out for his parts and pieces that he was selling under his name. If he changes his name or makes a new account, someone should notice. we know he's in zip code 54665....so keep an eye out people, here and on other forums

can't Joey tell by his IP addy?
He should be able to as a board owner/admin of the site. As a mod here, I can't see that info but as an admin at another site, I can see IP addresses.

Some boards won't let you have multiple accounts coming from the same IP. Not sure if it's caught by human hand or by programming. Some sites allow new members to post only after the application has been scanned and approved but I don't think that's the case here but don't really know as I've never tried to apply for a 'throw down' membership at this site. Probably shouldn't say this but it's not unheard of to use a throw down user name to try and nab someone that's a bad player and out them. Not saying it's ever been done here because I really don't know....but an owner/admin has a lot of control of their site and it should be that way. Setting up and maintaining a site isn't exactly a walk in the park plus having to pay for it too.

You can try searching other sites for his parts. I couldn't find any on eBay yet. Maybe Craig's list in his area...

As far as being a seller, wait till payment before shipping. That's just the way things are done. I know some don't like PayPal but it's the "protected" way to go. Protects both parties and it doesn't take much to set up. I've received my money back twice, on deals gone bad. Next best thing might be a money order. You'll have your transaction somewhat documented. And save your email conversations.Small claims court is just around the corner...

Thanks again guys, here's the new news. You must have really pissed him off because he's now threatening to go public about me!!!! I told him not to worry about it I'd make his allegations public for him. He says the spindles WERE NOT for 11" drums which is what he wanted and evidently I was dishonest of course he gave the dimensions and all but that's the just of it. Here's how the deal went down, I posted a set of (1968 RR drum brake spindles), what you read here is exactly how I listed it. He contacts me and wants to know if I have the backer plates as well and what size they are and would also like the rear backer plates as well. I provided the measurements, make, model, year and engine size of the car they came out of (383) and he said he wanted them. Now after a good beating and nearly 2 months later he's saying this, the funny thing is almost all of my PMs said IF THERE'S A PROBLEM TELL ME. Don't know if there's any truth to it at all because I don't know the ins and outs of the drum brake cars, I just know they came off of a 383 1968 RR and I provided the dimensions (he didn't ask for dimensions of the spindles). He says he's shipping them back but I don't believe it, I'm done with it anyways (got better things to do on here then chasing him around). Thanks again guys

so...instead of letting you know right away there was a problem with the parts, he says nothing, and everyone here knows what a pos he is......IIRC, I contacted you about these spindles, and they were beyond dirt cheap.

let him go public ! he has ignored everything and has refused to respond to anything! I would love to tell him what douche he is out here on the board !

no worries 747 , you have already made your case and are 100% credible in my book. I wouldn't hesitate to any kind of business with you in a heartbeat. he is just now bitching about the spindles ?? this guy is a panty waste

IIRC all road runners came factory with HD suspension which included HD rear leaf springs, front sway bar and 11" front drums , correct me if im wrong

You're probably going to get back his 10" spindles and he keep the 11's

he has had enough time to come on here and answer the post ,wouldn't worry about him piss on the weasel :icon_fU:

I found the spindles to be different. 11x3 inch brakes are also deeper, so the spindle has to be longer. However, That is no excuse to be a chump about it. Why would someone hassle over that? a simple conversation can solve the Issue. He apparently isn't too bright, or,,,,, he is just a Dxxx.
