I bought a GSG-522. :) Same size and weight as an MP-5, but shoots .22LR and doesn't cost $20,000. :) Now I gotta send Uncle Sam $200 to get a tax stamp so I can cut the barrel back to the correct length.

Looks like a nice piece Bru, you must have quite the collection over there!

I’m going to have to come by and go shooting with ya next time I’m in Florida, I have family in Tampa, and friends in Newport ritchey and rockledge

I picked up a Kel-Tec PMR-30 over the weekend. Been looking for one for a couple years. .22 mag with 30 round clip. Should be a fun plinking gun.

I was hoping GSG would come out with a 9MM version of the MP-5 like they did with the MP-40, but Heckler & Koch sued them for copyright infringement over the 522, so I guess they're done with doing anything MP-5 related.

On the plus side, I expect the 522s to go up in value now that they are out of production. Most are selling today for $350-$600, and I got this one for $240. :)

Very cool toy. Zenith produces pretty good clones but they still start in the $1800 range. Real deal HK are waaaay more. MP5SD is what I'll buy when I win the lottery.

Sad, I had to settle for and get a Heritage Rough Rider.
Nothin wrong with a Rough Rider. Mine gets used plenty and never a problem. Wish I could say that about my Rugers.

Rugers not getting used or problems? Seems like the rugers I have work regardless of how I treat them.

I remember the good old days when I would have hundreds of drop-in sears for AR-15s in my apartment, and I was paying about $5 a piece for them. :)

Do you still have them and are they registered? I vaguely remember hearing guys churning them out and putting in to register them all. So very smart as they are all expensive now, great return on investment. I can shoot full auto at work so I got my fill of mag dumps, including HK UMPs. Now a full auto .22? With a can?! Heaven lol

I've never used hearing protection when shooting .22, so I never saw much point in a silencer.

My Ruger 10/22 won’t shoot a mag with out jamming. My New Vaquero didn’t go bang on day one due to a misshapen transfer bar. After I replaced it, it would shoot but had to much slop in the trigger and would not reset, had to send it back to Ruger to repair that. My oldest Ruger is a P944DC 40cal., that gun has never had a single problem and has had a lot of use. Even though I’ve had some quality issues with Ruger, their 1911 is next on my list to get. If nothing else, their customer service is top notch.

My favorite is my 33K[5.56mm], shooting 3-round burst. At 50 yards...it'll hold 3" groups. 2 together, and the flyer of about 2-3 inches.
