I say the idle mixture screws on the front carbureator and so did six other viewers.

The 1/4" tube that goes from the bottom of the RH exhaust manifold to the air cleaner. Painted orange in this photo...

I guess now I know what that nipple on the back of my air cleaner is supposed to be for. Thanks RC!

You're welcome.

those factory carbs didn't have mixture screws in the front carb.

Not traditional mixture screws. They were those cheesy half ones that were leaded in. You could dig out the led and get at them, but it was a PIA.

Just watched and I don't see the firewall ground wire off the right rear intake bolt. Can't image that's what he's after but who knows.

478 replies and a lot said the mix screws.

Both carbs on the '66 cars have the same idle mixture screws. I don't know what year that changed.

The screws on the rear carb aren't visible in the engine pic, but they are in the bench pic.

Well, it's not a ground cable to firewall. I got a reply through YouTube that I was wrong, Nick says E bodies didn't get a firewall ground. Really, no ground strap?

1970 cars had a negative cable that not only attached to the engine & one that attached to the body.

Is it missing the green emission canister mounted to the intake on the passenger side rear of the engine?

In the video, Nick did say that It has "nothing" to do with the air cleaner. So I wonder if there is another item he is teasing us with? Also What I got from the video is that this is a 70-71 engine?-- Is that 1/4" tube on a 69-68 engine?

BTW --The choke heat tube? next to the 1/4" painted tube caught my eye. (It has a white cover/sleeve on it).I have what I think might be an original NOS one of those. Mine has an asbestos (eek) sleeve. 20" long. Nicks sleeve may not be correct.:)
