Attached are some pics of my MT ET street drag radials that I use on the street. The tires see frequent burn outs. What are the thoughts on the wear pattern. The middle of the tire is worn nicely, while the outsides are kinda chewed up. Are the tires overflated so only the tire centers are making good pavement contact? It's a 295 tire on a 10" wheel and the sidewalls are not bulged. I'm running about 15-20psi on the street which is on the high side, so thinking maybe only the tire center is making good contact while the outsides are iffy.

Appreciate any thoughts.

The sides look "scrubbed" like my motorcycle tires look from "spirited" cornering. I'm thinking maybe that scrubbed appearance is from low pressure and taking curves or turns.
Just guessing.
The other possibility is inner fender wheelwell rubbing. My 70 Roadrunner has curved inner fenders and if the tires rubbed I could see a pattern like that happen. Maybe check your wheelwells for signs of tire rubbing.

looks like Low tire pressure too Me, I use a similar tire with 30 psi on the street & 14 psi when Racing never had a issue, BTW low tire pressure will cause the center of the tire to concave, too much air would cause them to bubble only making contact on the center.

I'm definitely not doing spirited cornering in the Super Bee. Never thought of the fender well rubbing, but that's a great tip. Will check it out because the 295s are stuffed in there. I do know the inside sidewall has some rubbing at times, but need to check the outside.

I agree with underinflated, try adding 5-10 psi. Center is cupping.

Mine look funny like that every once in a while. I run 20-25 #. Looks to me like it was spinning, hence the chewed up look. Then you drove it around normal for a while and it cleaned the scrub marks off the center. Long as they are evenly wearing I wouldn’t sweat it too much. If you go out and hammer it then look, I would expect the whole surface to look chewed up.

From M/T:

ET STREET™ R (RADIAL) AND ET STREET™ S/S
On the racetrack DO NOT use starting pressures below 13 psi.
Recommend pressures: 14-18 psi
For suggested highway use inflation pressure in Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial tires, contact the Mickey Thompson Tires tech department at (800) 222-9092 (Option 4).

Set tire pressure to 15lbs and find some virgin pavement, maybe far edge of a big parking lot, and do a stab and steer( not a burnout) and look at tire mark pattern. I'll bet you have four outside edge marks. Then try other pressures till you get a good all-the-way-across pattern. Street driving, I bet it will like 25+lbs.
