With all due respect Roger,
Mexican food is one of the best

Only the parts of Texas that are on the coast is humid.
There is no way in hell that you can sit there and say that when the North East corner of the state is just as humid as Louisiana and your coastal areas! I should know!

Nonsense. Poppycock even. :)
Cool thing is, there's something to like about anywhere in these good ol' states I'd like to think.
Even though I'm not in the SW, I love me some "tex mex" (when my well-ventilated gullet allows
me to, anyways) for example. There's places that do it well in this region.
LOVE me some NY style pizza and places have it here as good as any I've had up north.
The "fat pizza" from Chicago has its' place (love a good deep dish pan pizza!).
Pennsylvania (especially Dutch country) has some of the best food I've ever gotten my hands on, too.
NC barbecue? Get outta here, it's FANTASTIC when done properly - but so is Texas bbq.
I could go on and on....
Climate would be the big limiting factor for me on where to live, political as well as meteorological.
The older I get, the less tolerance I have for cold, simply put - and a lot of those countries on the list
get DAMN cold from what I've read.
I suspect, from having done some 'big picture' investigating on the subject, that the survey and many more like it in the last few years are slanted towards moving the worlds populations ever more Northward. It's tied to Global Warming and "climate change". The Southern realms are touted as being too freaking hot to endure in a few decades. Global populations, migration of different age groupings, ,socioeconomic make ups and familial attachments are all big studies right now with how climate change will possibly impact them in 10-20-30 years. Forecasting food stuffs, water, crops, industry, births and deaths, etc. are all another part of such studies. The power brokers watch such metrics as a way to forecast how to invest money, which industry trends to back, which to back away from, where in the global community to put their cash to work in driving a favorable outcome.
If the Governments of developed countries came right out and said, " Hey! If you want to survive past 2050 you need to be starting right now to migrate Northward." what do you suppose the result would be. Yup. Your right. We are being subtly "handled" and we don't really realize it.

Think about it. When was the last time you heard of being urged to retire in, of all places, NORWAY? Sweden? Iceland? I think they threw Rogers patch in just for cover...lol.

Off subject but are you being affected by the volcanic fallout?
The only effects we are feeling is the sadness for the loss of those poor innocent souls, and sorrow for those injured and caught up in the aftermath. It is one of those events which was totally random, and 'almost' unpredictable.

But, thanks for asking.

How often is the NE corner of Texas as humid as the southern coast line?? Hell, I have 80% as I type and the temp is 77.....but that's not going to last for very long. Been out in the shop for way too many late evenings with 80 degrees and 85% way too many times during the summer for you to tell me that NE Texas gets the same stuff for weeks upon weeks at a time like it does where I am. Sometimes I feel like I'm in hell! And I have no idea where you are since your 'location' says 'The Real World' but I'm thinking you might be in la la land..... :D

Don't panic....I found a picture of the location you seek....

I for one have enjoyed reading all the banter here on this thread. I haven't bothered to contribute with my thoughts....mainly because I live in one of the countries listed, and besides, our food is way better than anywhere else. :p

We have a recent chain of "Authentic New York Pizza" stores here now...Sal's NY pizza. My kids think it's great...but I cannot stand it...and it's over-priced. https://www.sals.co.nz/

We have GRASS fed cattle & sheep and fresh seafood from all around our coastline....no need to go hungry, or look for outside influences.

:poke:

I like to travel, but home is where I prefer to be. I'm sure that is what most you others feel also. :)
Feeding grass to cattle is illegal in this country.............Oh, not the same grass, my bad!! LOL

We eat simply here....I'm having a plate of beluga caviar washed down with a '55 Dom Pérignon for lunch today. :D
With a side plate of bull **** !!!! LOL

I'm starting to be sorry that I started this thread.
Screw that. There are some people that LOOK to argue. This person pokes others then plays the victim when he pisses people off and they respond.
My ex "Step Father" was like that. He'd play that "passive-aggressive" routine and act all surprised when his bullshit comments resulted in angry responses. I have since cut off all contact with this useless jerkoff. The IGNORE feature here was once viewed by me as a cop out but since I enabled it, this forum has been a much better experience for me.

yes, I have him on ignore. I can still see that he ruins threads...

I didn't write the survey nor do I agree with it. I didn't mean to start a cat fight.
Meeeow :D

Think I'll have another beer.....wait, already have!
