Flipper Giff.gif

She'll be up for sale soon!!

RC,there's a 68 that you have not owned yet,are you buying it? I see a Hellcrate 6 speed, dana 60,and 4 wheel disc brakes in that ones future!

you gotta love it,
first its whats it worth, then ive scored it and ill treasure it forever, and now im selling it soon.
what in the actual F and you deceived the seller too.
you know what they say tho, karma will catch up.

Shame on you if you told a pack of lies to the owner to secure the car, and for less than the other offers he had. That's just dirty.

The world is full of rip-off merchants, but you don't have to be one yourself.

So we get no pics and the car will be flipped.......hell of a guy! She's for sale before I even get the new title with my name on it kinda deal.

Had a guy tell me that he had to have my 71 Barracuda convertible for his wife, so I sold him the car, because I needed a new truck. He flipped it for more than double what he paid for it within a few days. He called me looking for more of them a week later, I told him that I am all out of cars that you need for your wife, so you can double your money on me,don't call me for anything ever again!

I remember a highly reputable guy on Dodgecharger.com was going on and on about how he found his dream '68 Charger R/T and he had a bunch of us participating in a thread he had for it, talking about how much it's worth, how much to offer, etc. The thread had an emotional tone to it because that's how the OP was presenting the situation to us and so everyone gave him a thumbs up and well wishes to get the car. Well, he gets the car and flips it pretty much the next day. I called him out on it and the thread turned ugly; well at least for me anyway.

I don't have a problem with flipping cars and making a profit, its the way of the world, but don't present it as anything else because that just makes you out to be a slithery snake. Why can't you just come in here and say "hey, there's this cool blah blah blah that I think could be worth a profit if I pick it up; what do you guys think?" Why the need for deception...

exactly.
bbody500? guy from florida just had the same topic going,
but was Honest from the start about not only his intentions, but his ability to keep it financially.
props to him.

guess Flipper's can't take 10 minutes and sweep it out? Never seen a spare tire like that.

I was into MGB's and one day I learned of a early B ( what is referred to as a "pull handle car, a early model B) for sale close by me...I went to see it, the car had been parked outdoors under trees for something like 20 years or so uncovered....It was a wreck, rotten everywhere, a total rust bucket. It was a parts vehicle at best.
The owner thought it was restorable and wanted to see whomever would buy it, restore it.
He knew he couldn't do the restoration himself. I tried to explain the body was too far gone and the mechanicals would need a complete disassembly and rebuilding. The parts alone would make it just unrealistic.
I wanted the car but not that bad and I made him a fair offer. I told him very honestly my intentions was too use as much of the mechanical parts and whatever else I could salvage on another car.
He refused to sell me the car and so I left.
Weeks later I saw another person bought the car, told the owner everything he wanted to hear, how'd he restore it back to showroom condition and whatever bullshit the seller wanted to hear.
And so the buyer got the car and parted it out
And I got the satisfaction that for whatever I may be or what anyone perceives I may be , while no better then the next guy, I make it a point never to deceive, lie, cheat anyone
