So I got this from my insurance company.
They’re offering up to $250 to move my car to a safer location if I’m in the storms path. (I’m not so I won’t be using it).
I know this is to prevent costly claims but still a nice offer considering it’s about half of my yearly premium.

That is awesome. Quick thinking by someone at your company could save them thousands

They are my insurance company too and when the last storm came through here a few weeks ago, I got the same offer. They are awesome!

Who are they and what is a recognized storage facility?

It's nice that they did/do that! So are they still jacking up your agreed value and increasing your premium's every year without your consent or approval??? The moron's didn't update my change of address when I moved and then proceeded to cancel my policy 3 months later when I never received my renewal. I told them to take a flyin leap for their incompetence. Good Luck

American Collectors.

I’m assuming any commercial storage facility. “Uncle Rays garage” probably doesn’t qualify.

I’ll have to check and see. To be honest I’ve not looked at the policy since I got it. When I get the bill I just pay it and stick it in the drawer. I’ll get back to you on that.

Up until a couple of years ago there was a climate controled storage facility down the road that was named 'Uncle Bob's Storage' lol. It was a nice place and had everything from closets to garages big enough for cars. He sold out to a chain though but it was under that name for a lot of years.

Speaking of American collectors, they "are pleased to announce our new carrier partner is American family home insurance company, a member company of the American Modern insurance group". Had to read through 52 (mostly two sided) pages of the contract. I don't like finding out about the fine print items on something after the time comes to use it.

All the more reasons not to do biz with them!
