This story is a bit funny. The battery is dead, so the car basically becomes an unmovable object that can't be gotten into? REALLY? So a Tesla cannot be "assisted" with jumper cables? And it's impossible to even get into the car... I guess the glass is un-breakable in an emergency? (I guess it kind of makes ya want an old fashioned key type door lock.) Hmmm... I think this owner probably ain't a car guy. LOL

Tesla owner locked out of car until he replaces $26,000 battery

Obvious as more of these EV’s are on the road, stories like this one will become common. More articles I’ve read about tesla more I would have no inclination to buy one, even though I have NO interest to by any EV..

This article has a lot of clues as to how stupid this guy is. Who keeps their title in their car? Who doesn't know how to call AAA or a towing service to unlock a locked car? Thanks for the laugh.

Why does this surprise anyone? This is the age of zero individual accountability. Anything and everything is someone else's fault.

i recently took my truck down to the local chevy dealer for an oil change, while waiting in the service bay office i see a stack of large crates in the middle of the shop. 20+,, so i ask the guy whats all that, he says they r batterys for the EV vehicles that r All under a Recall swap out....

Real companies will have stuff in place to handle problems like this... Tesla has **** engineers and is a bad company all around... look at their build quality sometime.. i don't understand how people defend that company.

Being a Toyota technician for 32 years I have seen the hybrid and electric vehicles from the start. I installed new hybrid batteries in a 260K Prius worth maybe $1500 on the market. Parts and labor on the new battery was about $3900. They love the car and they cant buy a new one in their situation.
I realize that some people want to be "green" but they would be further ahead with a new Corolla that gets 40 MPG. Toyota still refuses to go all in on electric vehicles until there is a workable infrastructure to support their customers.
We have a RAV4 EV on the repair lot now that is not worth repairing. It's not even worth scrap because it has no converters on it.

Thanks for speaking up. I think people are finally starting to speak out in a rational, down-to-earth manner about this stupid 'answer to a problem we made up'.

Plug it in and charge it up.

My brother has a Nissan leaf. And can barely go 50 miles. What a waste! But if that guy gave me his tesla? I'd fix it with a 440 4-speed conversion. LOL!

Don't have one and don't want one. Maybe forced to buy and electric Harley Davidson someday but not a car or truck. We are all like lab rats the consumer to try out what the engineers are drawing up for sale. Back to the drawing board. LOL.

*************************puppets are forcing that electric **** down our throats here.
Every time I go to a car show, I hear about it, people mad as heck, holy **** !!
I don't know if EV's will ever catch on with real people that understand bullshit when they see it.

This isn't the Political Forum.....thanx
