I rarely drink alcohol anymore especially going out to a bar
in todays reality...
I just go next door usually, have a cocktail
or a few brews once in a blue moon, BS with my buddy Darren
(my dad's 60+ years an alky/in recovery, I can't won't drink in front of him)
I use to frequent a place in Concord, when I lived down there
especially in my 20s-30's Black Bart's Saloon/**** kickers C&W bar
it's down Clayton Rd, almost to Ygnatio Valley
lots of people from Clayton (a small adjacent town) frequented it,
I don't know if it's even still open,
a small place & locals hangout, goat ropers/cowboys
used to frequent & work (as bouncer/doorman) at Saddle Rack
down in San Jose in my later 20's, lots of gash running around, target-rich
I frequented when I was working at & building Target Masters in Milpitas
used to go to another place "Spin o yarn" (IIRC), when I lived in San Jose
up on Sierras dr. up by the Egg Farm
Go to the outskirt of Milpitas toward Freemont, a tall blonde bartender lady
was my main reason, she was fun,
a bunch of US from Target Masters would go there
C&W bar, dancing, a place down by the bay called Denim & Diamonds,
before it went/turned "Yuppie" back in the later 80's
used to go to a place on like Main St. or B-street (?) Hayward
had great fish/fried rock shrimp & dark beer, after work
can't remember the name, I'm having a senior moment

I probably drank too much when younger
'The Pines Club' (?) in Anchorage Alaska 1984-86-ish
on Lake Ottis or Northern Lights (IIRC),
across from the Apt complex I ran
It was a lively loud fun place, live music &
boxing from locals, loose women
a truly tough crowd, literally, you had better know how to hold your own
in more than one way
or you wouldn't last very long
