Tips on lifting in rear diff

I made a adapter to use with my trans jack but, it would work with a floor jack.

When I was the OPs age I placed automatic transmissions on my stomach and bench pressed them up into place.
Yeah I would do that but there wasn’t enough room to fit it onto my chest under the car. The exhaust was against my forehead.

Thanks all for the help. I ended up getting it with an extra set of hands and lifting up both the front and rear some more.

I’ve had mine out 4 or 5 times using this platform that screws to the jack pad on my old Craftsman Jack. It has a square pad with 4 screws securing a rubber pad. I just remove the rubber and screw the wood pad to the steel portion. I position the case flange on the edge of the wood pad so it can snug right up against the axle housing.
