Hey guys! Wondering if you can give me any tips on doing a vehicle history search on my Charger. I've done the online vin search and contacted the DMV in Ohio but they can only give me info for the past 3 years. I'd really like to find something out about this car, where it was sold originally, where it's been, just anything really. Is it really this hard or am I just an idiot?
Thanks:angry1:

Unless there is original paperwork with it, perhaps your seller can tell you where he got it, etc.....

Hi
Because of the Privacy Act, many places will not give out information
I was lucky with my 70 because I knew it was allways in my area.
So, I went to some car shows and finally someone reconized the car and through his info. and a year of research I was able to track my car back to the second owner. I am the fifth owner. I'm hopeing the first owner shows up on his own because this is as far as I can go.
Good luck with your search
Keep asking questions and maybe something will show up

Some states did not title vehicles until 1975, perhaps even later. My (not mine any more) '69 Alabama car received it's Texas title in 2008. Toss that into the equation along with the privacy act stuff, it can be impossible to get an accurate history. Can hit all the mopar forums and toss out the vin. You might get a reply.

XP29N0G110639 is the VIN, the old owner was not much help, heck he was drunk when i bought it!! Hehehe

Thanks for the help guys!
