I am looking at running the Mickey ET Streets on the 65 Belvedere. I just noticed that tubes are required. I know guys around here running the ET Streets without the tubes with no problems (like air loss).
What are you guys doing with ET Streets? Tubes or no tubes?
The Belvedere will be primarily a street car with some strip use.

I have been driving on the street and racing on these Hoosier 30 x 9 radial slicks for the past 2 years. No tubes and they do not leak any air. Ron

I ran M/T ET {325/15} Street "Drag Radials" they were tubeless, I do think the ET Streets bias-plys are all tube types, I have never used the E/T bias-ply though....

i have run em both with and without. only thing i noticed without was the combo was a bit heavier.

with tubes i would expect you would need to run rim screws in case you spin the tire on the rim. i know the baby powder is suppose to keep the tube from pinching but i have had them do it anyways.

i prefer without.

Heres a little trick you guys can do.I smear the whole inside of the tire with dish soap.Be generous with the soap.Works like a hot dam.

you need to put some pie on the back of that 65
this is what I run on the streets!!!:blob1:

Do they hook good ? I was wondering if you have tried them at the track ? Ron

When I got the '65 the springs were moved in and it was minitubbed. So I am going to fill the wheel wells with 31x16.5-15 M/T ET Streets.

Have you double checked that these will fit? My 62' has been tubbed and springs moved in 3" - axles shortened and the 28x14.50s that were on it were about all that would fit - comfortably. They were on 12" Welds with 4.5" backspace. There was maybe an inch of room at the spring and maybe another at the fender so I guess technically two more inches was there but man that leaves no margin at all.

Not yet but I can tell you on the street they hook up pretty good without a burn out. They are made with new rubber compounds so they wouldnt be like the original ones.
I'll get it to the track next year now and give it a whirl!!!

My 63 has the springs moved in,mini tubbed and the wheel lip removed.I have used the m/t sportsmans and then the sportsman PRO's without traction success.I will be trying the E/T streets next year. And YES,the 16.5 x 31's fit.

I trial fitted a buddy's set of 31x16.5 M/T ET Streets on the 65. They are snug, but fit.

Whats all that rubber at the bottom of your 1/4 panels ? LoL ! Ron

I always try to wax the lower part of my 1/4's before I go racing as it makes the rubber so much easier to wipe off if the 1/4 panel area where the rubber sticks is waxed. It will almost wipe right off with no problems. I also see alot of guys tape off the lower 1/4's to keep the rubber off. Ron

I run ET Streets with tubes and screws. I have no problems on the street and they hook.
