1967 Coronet 500 - Billings Montana

Jim and Cody made 21 pulls on the dyno today, max numbers were: 541hp, 560tq - I am very happy with these numbers.

Picking up the motor tomorrow... :headbang:

I bet you are John. You're gonna have a blast with all that beef under the hood. Just grip the wheel and hang on!

Good luck John, those are good numbers and i agree, HOLD on bud!!! and have fun...

:3gears: Way to go MT, what a blast that will be to drive.

Posted on the link and thought Jim sounded familiar, cool, and again, i do love the line up of power there!

Got the torque converter installed and tranny is bolted up, starter installed, pulleys bolted up.

Should install in the next few days

Hey John, take a good look at the shift selector/kickdown seal on that TCI before installing. My TCI Super Streetfighter leaked like a sieve from it, of course after being installed in the car. Best of luck.

Thanks for the heads up Will, appreciated. I'll take a look.

Very nice work there MT. I normally don't get to this forum but today I was board awaiting a phone call from a buddy having a procedure done at the Hospital. A couple of small observations with your resto/upgrade...

1. I am not a fan of the blacked out engine compartments on MOPARS. The workmanship and detail is excellent mind you but I prefer the same color scheme as the body. Realizing you probably would have done it that way, the choice you have made isn't all that bad as it is clean and nicely detailed. But why not go with body color? Blacked out is strictly for GM's.

2. Make sure to get some sure grip additive for that rear end. You can pic it up at most Dealers but I strongly recommend that you get some if you already haven't yet. I did on my re-build for my '66 Ply Sat.

Otherwise it is always nice to see a project coming together...cr8crshr/Tuck:headbang::headbang::headbang:

Motor is in, three of my friends from work came over today and helped, thank GOD for great help. :hello2:

Those Victor heads are fricken huge, and with an aftermarket oil pan at first I thought I was screwed, with the heads mashed against the firewall and the pan with a 1/4" to spare on the K member, it went in though, amen! :headbang:

It's been a hell of a day, but I am not going backwards which is a good thing... The headers on the left side were a royal PIA, but all is good now. Making all the final connections and going to measure for a drive line tomorrow.

That's awesome MT, glad to here your making some headway on it and waiting to hear about the maiden voyage.

I know this has been discussed already, but it looks like the engine is sitting in a black hole! I'm happy for you that it's in though. That's cool. And I am sure you guys are going to love the car..You all must be getting pretty excited to be that much nearer the finish line. (if there is such a thing with our cars?)
