Help me choose new wheels

I know exactly what you mean. The all chrome is almost too much and the black center carries the theme better.
A practical advantage to the black....the chrome is a PITA to keep looking good. A lot easier to polish the rim. Those spokes, not.

Now that you added these newer pictures, I have to say, I think the bottom one adds the best balance of all the choices. If you look at your car, its black with hints of chrome here and there, the mirrors, the belt and drip edge moldings, door handles. Therefore a complimentary wheel I think is best that does the same. All black wheels detract from the look of the car, all chrome wheels overtake the look of the car, the bottom ones really follow the overall look of the car with mostly black, but nice accents of chrome.

That was exactly what thought when I suggestedt the rims. Thin chromed outlines all around and small spots will make those wheels keep the same balance on wheels than the car got. With stock chrome all around maybe the full chromed wheels will be balanced.

The ghost stripe will match the black spokes on wheels too.

Take in mind the black finish on spokes will be really black, not somekind of "violet" like the pic shows. And maybe some other spokes design will match bettter ? dunno. Those were the first I saw on the google images search.

or... what about a wheel set with reversed black and chromed pattern ?

Once again, not saying these, something similar, but my PC is REAAAALLY slow on these days and I can't take long time to search on options to suggest

Congratulations on the decision to stagger the wheel diameter...perfect sizes.
I've always had a thing for dark wheels, but I'm over the "murdered-out" look...definitely the bottom.

I'm between the top and bottom the middle is just to much .
I'm leaning towards the top though it looks sinister .

What wheels are the top ones? The all black do you have a closer pic of them I may use them on my charger

Cragar soft 8s. Available at summit, jegs, etc They also sell a similar model with "D" shaped openings
Max sizes are 17x8 w/4.5" bs and 17x9 w/5" backspace.

What size tires do you have on the orange one with 17s?

245/40/17 front and 275/40/17 rear

Z-rated BFG's Sport Comp 2 tires.

No rub at all but the wheels are 17x7 in front with 0 offset and 17x8 rears with -11 offset. Quite a bit of room to go wider (towards the leafspring - NOT toward the quarter panel) in the back but I could never find a supplier who had the wheels I wanted available (without them being specially made - which would take months to get and cost A LOT more) in the exact size I wanted. I wasn't originally going to go with the TT 2's. I wanted the 17" Cragar SS's but, again, couldn't find anyplace that could get them to me. The only option was a 6 month wait to have those made by Cragar.

And to the OP: The picture I posted of my old black RR actually shows the soft 8's but they were 15's. You get the idea. If you go the soft 8 route but with 17"s, you should consider getting tires with the raised white letters to break up the black and kind of match with your white hood call-outs.

I'm going to tell you, deciding on wheels and then ACTUALLY FINDING what you wanted can be tough.

I get the idea of the wheels with the polished lip and black centers... But to me, they'd look like you pulled some wheels of one of those early 2000 Bullit Mustangs and put them on your car. Personally I don't think they'd look right but that is just my opinion and I'm just trying to help. I'd either go with the black with white letter tires or the chrome/polished. No "in between".

My thoughts exactly, and Im going with those same BFG tires too. I agree about the $$$. I just ordered the custom 2 piece all polished TTs and it will take 30-45 days. They are almost twice as much for the custom offsets, but I want the exact look Im going for. I want to be happy with it for years to come, with no regrets.
I used your picture and cleaned up the photochop job, adjusting for rear wheel size, it should look something like this. Cant really notice the staggered size difference much. Its very subtle, which is I guess the way it should be. The cars I see with 20s in back are just too much IMO, but I do think it looks better slightly bigger in back. Probably because thats the bigger and heavier looking part of the car.

Oh and this is my new hood callout. Designed it myself and had them made.
I know. Corny. But I love it. Now, to slowly do something with the motor. Probably a stealth 451 build, keeping an oem look, so it can actually back up the callout.
