75 Cordoba restore

It's great to hear about a young couple restoring an older B body. Its a great story of years to come. Keep on trucking. I have several 71-74 chargers, a 75 Cordoba and a 78 Magnum. The magnum is my primary objective at this time. If you have a 91/4 rear end in your Cordoba, pull the gears from a truck/Ram Charger to upgrade to 3.55. Alburn posi units are common for the 91/4. cordoba driveway.jpg

Regarding K-frame. Engine brackets are set back on frame. Consider relocating. K-frame on all b-body 400 from 73-78 will work.

Back at it. Some more goodies.

Went with comp cam extreme energy dur 295/307 and lift .564/.564

Snow performance water-methanol injection.

Just ordered aluminum rockers, water pump And housing, oil pump, and a bunch of little pieces to get it together. Few more steps closer.

good, you got springs and keepers. those 440 source heads are actually pretty nice, but the retainers and keepers SUCK...OMFG SUCK. I got scared when i heard of people's keepers failing at 300 miles. I changed them out for the comp ones (You'll have to buy single groove comp ones if that cam kit is made as a batch for the 440 becasue factory mopar is multi groove).

cool build! I really dig what you're doing.

Yes I had to upgrade the springs anyways for the cam. List was too high for the stock 440 springs.

So I have made another change to the game plan. It will require more work to make em fit.....

Got to do some work to get them to fit.

These two wheels are almost as tall as my wife.

Don't know why the pic is sideways. I tried to edit it in photobucket. When I enter edit screen it is right side up. When I exit it's not.

More goodies in!!

Tires are 29x 15.5. I think it will be worth the effort

FYI I wasn't happy with my 440 source rockers. The threads in the rocker arms for the adjusting studs weren't a nice fit.

I went with Hughes setup.

Great work. Good to see some younger folks keeping the hobby alive. Your friend would be very proud of your work.

So I have been piecing together more and more parts. Thought the motor was going to be put in today. Found out the oil pickup I have will not work. Due to the longer stroke of the crank, I am going to have to get a external oil system. Something I have never messed with before. Hopefully I can get it ordered and installed so i can get the motor in and running. Goal is to drive it by July.
