First off, 200$ for information on wear abouts or history :)

In the late 70's my grandfather Stanley Scheel who at the time lived in Portland, sold his 1970 Roadrunner to a gentleman who lived in Vancouver. The man who bought the car from him actually broke his leg (or something close to it) on the way into the bank to get funds for the car!

It was originally a 440 six pack car, but before he sold it he put a single four barrel on it because the six pack kept clogging up for some reason. It was orange with the black stripes down the air grabber hood.

I am his grandson and dearly want to find out what happened to his favorite ride! Was it scrapped way back when or is it still out there somewhere? Contact me with information for a reward! Even if the current owner does not want to sell it, we would love to just know it is still out there!

The registration states that the VIN is PM23V0E142089 but since all Roadrunners started with RM I concluded that a typo must have been made at the DMV way back when and it actually is RM23V0E142089

Thank You!

Nick

Have you contacted the states DMV where the car was titled. They might have records if the registration is current.

:welcome: aboard!

Welcome aboard!
Thanks for joining the forum.

Best of luck with your search!
It is NOT an impossible task.

Do you have any pics of the car?
If so, post them.

Also, try contacting Graveyard Carz, Mark Worman may have seen the car in the past!

the only shot we can find of the whole car, we have found the nose of it peeking out in a few though :)

Thanks for the info! I wasn't sure
myself, but I just asked him and it was vancouver washington not British columbia. I totally did try to search the vin because it may have been moved up there, but nothing came up! Thanks friend!

ARE YOU SERIOUS? That is cool stuff right there...

I cant wait to see pics of this thing...

Does grand pa have the funds to buy it back, that would be cool, maybe we could raise some money for the old boy, he had to be pretty bad *** back in the day to buy an orange v code runner...

Wow doesn't get much cooler than this

The V code

All I have right now is pics of the tags, as car is currently sitting 5 hours from me at a friends house buried under snow. I bought the car from a guy in Quebec. Like i said he got it off Ebay years ago, and has no idea who he got it from. Car is in a horrible state right now, motor and tranny and most everything else long gone, pretty much a shell. Someone sold the dash and removed the vin tag to keep with the car. I accidently stumbled upon this post by just typing the vin into google. This car will be getting restored the coming summer and sadly will not be for sale for a while. Even seats are gone, so build sheet might be floating around somewhere too.
