Anybody have good experiences with the 440 source stealth heads. I'm on a budget and these are in my price range. They'd be going on a 440 used as a weekend driver and not racing. Cam is a Comp XE268 (.477 /.480), stock valve train, with Schumacher headers and 2 1/2" h-pipe exhaust.

You shouldn't have any problems with them! They went to Comp Cams valve train! Before they used china crap! They say their good for up to 500 hp out of the box! I had a costly problem with them a few years ago dropped a valve because of the Chinese 7 degree keeps! Up graded the valve train and no problems since! I use them on my N/SS car!

I like 440 Source, excellent customer service. They do however use the cheapest locks and retainers made for Comp Cams and the heads should be prepped for service before using.

If you are looking for an inexpensive aluminum head, check with this guy also.

IQ have you seen the sidewinders in person yet? Todd and others seem to have glowing reviews over there.

Mine have been on my Roadrunner going on 4 years now, not one problem. Basically out of the box except I upgraded the locks and keepers as was recommended by 440Source due to my cam lift. I'm running the XE275HL cam. My exhaust is the same as yours Tri-Y Schumacher headers and H-pipe exhaust, not that exhaust has much to do with head quality.

The stealth heads were on my wagon when i bought it. They seem to work great so far. And my wagon went 12.28 @ 111 in the 1/4. Not a race head but definitely an upgrade from a factory head as cast.

I have a set on my 440 as well as my 451 with no problems at all (knock on wood). Wouldn't hesitate using them on another build.

Just put a set of the CNC stealth heads in 512 stroker. So far so good! Appeared real nice and went on great. I used 440source for a ton of parts and they were great to deal with and no issues at all.

Thanks for the help guys..I talked to Todd at Marsh performance and decided to go with his Sidewinder aluminum heads..He's very knowledgeable and great to talk to..

Please let us know if you go with the Sidewinders & how they work out. I spoke with Todd a couple of weeks ago and was impressed buy his willingness to help and the amount of info he shared...I wish I could afford some Trickflows but....I'm also looking at the CPPA which are inn the same neighborhood as far as price goes.... Customer support was kind of standoffish though....

Mike67, I decided to go with the Sidewinders after talking with Todd because he meticulously inspects, tests, and assembles each head in house at his machine shop. You give him the cam your running and he custom installs the correct springs, locks, retainers, to the cam spec using Comp Cams parts. He also does a valve job complete with stainless steel valves and Viton seals. These heads also accept the stock valve train. He quoted me a price of $1225.00 for the pair out the door. He can do any additional custom work you want done to the heads because he is a machine shop, and stands by his work 100%. Give him a call..

I spoke with him for about 30-45 minutes, I agree I think he has won my business. I think he really wants to deliver a quality product regardless of the level you want or can afford. I've pretty well decided on ordering mine in early May. I would really like to hear more real world experiences with them....but again I think Todd is a stand up guy and will back his product up if there are any issues other than wrong application type of scenarios...
