Spark plug diagnosing help, please!

Ed,

I've been following your efforts to resolve your miss or cut-out. My first idea was bad gas. But in the mean time, did you figure out your problem. Reason for asking I have a similar problem with a 73 440HP.

Nope, not bad gas for sure in my case. I buy some about every time I have the car out, which has been every weekend here lately.

Yes, issue was found for sure - a stuck valve and resulting bent pushrod. :BangHead:
I have a thread on here titled:
http://www.forbbodiesonly.com/mopar...lls-a-fresh-set-of-906s-on-the-ol-440.117561/
I basically rebuilt the entire top end of the engine in a weekend, using a fresh from the machine shop set of 906 heads and new pushrods and such.
I left the bottom end alone for several reasons, foremost being lack of $$$ - but the oil pressure and compression were OK, so...

Results so far are a totally different feeling/sounding engine. Knock wood, she's behaving up to this point. :)
I'm back to chasing down a high RPM/long blast through the gears fuel starvation issue, but that's the kind of problem I don't mind so much - that can be cured without need for major engine surgery.
I've got a thread on here on that one, too:

Good luck with yours!
