Well weed is legal as of December 1st 2019. a 16% sales tax is added to these prices, of course this is Ann Arbor, probably higher here than anywhere else. hope the state spends the money on the roads. :fool::fool::fool:

Only on local streets not fed roads because the feds still see it as illegal drug.

it doesnt matter here all the roads are in rough shape

I was in vegas for SEMA its been legal there for a while, freemont street has a non stop lingering odor 24/7

$24.00 per gram ? plus sales tax
holy crap.

If the roads are in worse shape than they were 1996 when I flew into the Detroit area and rented a car to travel to the Viper plant and watch my 96 Viper coupe be built, I wouldn't want to drive around up there. The roads were so bad that I told a friend that was with me, I would never buy or recommend someone buy a rental car from that area. There were pot holes big enough to blow out tires and bend wheels and the alignment shops should make a fortune.

ya worse in detroit but things havent changed much just higher taxes, same roads.

Don't get your hopes too high. If Michigan runs things anything like Ontario there won't be a dime to spend anywhere. Pot was legalized in Canada a year ago and the Ontario government managed to LOSE 42 MILLION dollars. Only a government can lose money selling dope !!!

I'm sure we won't benefit from any of it, thats typical of any new tax money , it will end up in the school or general fund to be pissed away like the rest of it hence this guy in my original post.. :bs_flag:

Dont forget they made a fortune by having it Being illegal and they are just keeping
The money flowing in the other way.

They make it so expensive
That the underground will never go away

Might be my old fashioned way but just not a fan. Most work places do drug testing so what is the point. This stays in your system for a while. I guess I just don't get it. What's next legal LSD? I'm sure there will be plenty who disagree here but it is JMO.

Your not alone, I'm sure we're in the minority but your not alone.... I'd be fine with eliminating alcohol.... I drink a cocktail now & then but I wouldn't miss it....

being a commercial carpenter/ drywaller all my life I've seen alcohol destroy lifes just as cocaine, herion, meth, and weed. weed seems to me to have done the least damage, but people who smoke all day long, tends to put a damper on productivity, train of thought, and not so good decision making. if people are going to partake in this, moderation seems to be the answer, and no I don't what my heart surgeon burning a big fatty before slicing me open, or a pilot flying a plane I'm on. Its just common sense you don't put other peoples well being at risk. If you can't put your urges on hold, that's when it becomes a problem. punishing a person who smoked one at a party 2 weeks ago by getting fired for it when the drug test shows up positive, is wrong. JMO.

I just watched a documentary about the sale of weed in California. Each level of government has put so many taxes and fees on it, the product doesn't sell. They have warehouses full of processed ready to sell products that they can't move. Everyone still buys it illegally because it is so much cheaper. I have no doubt Illinois will screw it up just like California. Politicians can't keep their hand out of that money pot. Pun intended.
