Moparts . com? Not looking for a flaming on them but was just wondering who all used to be regular members there from recently to years ago even but don't go there much if at all anymore. If you just want to flame on them, please start your own thread....preferably other there :D Also, if you were regulars at other sites and want to list that too is cool. I'll go foist. Was a regular there right after the Dallas board got killed and then went to Moparts for several years until my 3rd jail term for doing little of nothing.

I only go there anymore to check the swap meet section. 2-3 times a week.

I use to go to MoParts, not really what I call a regular,
I broke my cherry on MoParts :D
I should have waited :poke:
I visit more looking for tech stuff or parts, just to browse etc.
IMO it was extremely poorly Moderated, bad/poor ownership
like Fascist NAZI's on a power trip, bad

I was more regular on MoPar Muscle Magazine Forum
when I really got heavily involved in any forum
I was a member of most of their related forums too
Some great/knowledgeable members there, many are here on FBBO now too
It wasn't Moderated very well either, more power trips
a couple of good guys too, far more open/tollerant than MoParts was ever
but better than a couple of other forums
I was a member at

I got sick of the socialist clicke' BS on DodgeChargers .com,
true haters, a bunch of knowitalls that don't know ****
god forbid you are conservative in any way shape or form
another extremely poorly ran, moderated & lousy/lazy ownership
harder to post photos, too many arguments, no sense of humor at all
totally Fascist NAZI's power trip, moderated forum
then;
I came here to FBBO on a recommendation, thank goodness
from someone on Dodge Chargers .com (it's now Chargers Graveyard)
some good/way better ownership, actually engaged & helpful
& better moderation, with some really great Mods IMVFHO Now
(early on a few of the Mods were really way too heavy-handed, Nepoleanic)
I found my forum home away from home here :asskiss:
:luvplace:

Well, i more or less got kicked off that site when the owner, started all the pop up ads on the pages, all the time.

What an annoying, irritating, thing to put up with.

One of those ads that got clicked on, when trying to delete it, had malicious malware in it that infected my computer system.

Cost me 200 bucks to get repaired, by my computer guru guy, that traced the problem back to that site.

I posted a complaint about that, and got banned for a week.
After that, they told me, like it or lump it, so i lumped it, and left.

I like the internet car related web sites, but have no love lost in not going to that site, anymore.

Never

I was never a member, i lurked, just like i did here and a-bodies. Now a member at a-bodies too, but i will never join at moparts, and dont lurk there at all anymore. The ads completely drove me away. Its a shame, most of the local mopar racers i know are on moparts(at least they were the last i looked).

Moparts was the first web forum that I joined. I don't remember how I found it. That was 10 years ago.
Slowly, I started branching out to join other sites. I like to respond to tech questions when I think that I have a fix. It feels good to be able to solve a problem for other car guys.
Moparts is still a good resource.
I have been banned there multiple times. A few times, I clearly deserved it. Other times, it seemed like a hair trigger response.
Many of the dudes that I scuffled with have left the forum.
Recently, they added a "Open Forum" where politics are allowed. They lifted my most recent ban (From late Dec 2019 to around early July)
After numerous run-ins with some people and a certain Moderator, I started using THIS site with more frequency. There were lots of members here praising this site but I just didn't see it. After awhile, I started seeing why people like the place. Before long, THIS became my favorite place to chat about everything. The fact that there is no profanity filter is great. Sometimes, stating that This gosh dang starter is terrible just doesn't provide much satisfaction.
Moparts could still be great but as Jim stated above, their greed for cash with the Pop up ads is chasing away people. Ad Blockers work but a lot of people use phones to access the site and apparently, the ads are even worse and cannot be blocked.

I had a brief ride on that trainwreck after drifting from DC.com. I jumped on fabo and fbbo shortly after and haven't looked back

Member there for over 20 years... The last 2 not so much...

I will lurk there every now and then, mostly for the tech archives. I know that I wouldn't last 15 minutes with that staff, so I never post anything.

I started with them and YB and still visit both. The race tech there is very good. I hang out with the owner at Carlisle and a few national events @ E/town before the greed shut it down,
I am here and post more here than the others combined. I like the picture posting options here the bestested!:D

Became a member there in 2007

Why would anybody want to flame Mofarts? The last time I lurked over there was around the time Stu passed away.

I think since the early 2000s......oh **** thats a long time ago

I do once it a while to surf the for sale ads & stir the pot in the WIW section which is fun to screw with the biggest clique of half wit know it all people I have ever been around especially that loud mouth "not a charger" A-hole. Plus I usually let my dog take a big steaming dump at their carlisle tent area every night which I laugh about all weekend..
