I had been watching this local online auction for the last 10 days or so.. and
spotted this Chrysler 3.5 hp outboard engine, it looked complete, so I was
interested. When I went over there yesterday about noon.. I was pleasantly
surprised it pulled right over, and is in nice used condition. It is complete and
probably would run. I have always wanted one, to put inside of my own
private (personal) museum. I also picked up 14 16ft 2x8s nice condition,
and over 30 2x4s the real stuff (96") long. I thought I got a good deal at
125.00 for all the lumber. I will post some pics of the Chrysler outboard motor
in a day or so. @Dodge33

I seen this today. :)

Anyone have any Chrysler outboard motors

Lol, had a 4cyl 90 on a '67 Sportcraft (a Sears sold boat when new)..........

I had to do some new lumber for the boat flooring. It was a lot cheaper then.

I’m on the slow hunt for an old V hull Chrysler in board big block boat... I passed on one as the wifey said we get a camper first!

@PST Think James collects them also, motors not lumber!

LOL.. I don't know why I had mentioned the lumber, as its for an
addition for my wood shed, we have a Central Boiler which heats
everything if we turn the thermostat up! I will try to get the outboard
motor out tomorrow, as my knees are shot, and I don't get around
very fast. @Dodge33

Chrysler bought the Westbend outboard company about 50 years ago my dad had both
a 35 and a 50hp

I have had a dozen so Chrysler outboard over the years. Mostly smaller hp's. I collect mainly early outboard from about 1910 to the 1970's (have about 200 at the moment ). I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a Chrysler racing engine like the one below:

I have a 45hp laying next my barn.
Spent quite a bit of time getting it running perfectly put a new impeller, seals in the lower unit.
It ran well and had alot of torque for a 2 cylinder.
Then the head started leaking.
There it sits...

We had 2 of them back in the late 70’s. 15 hp I believe and they were bought from Montgomery Wards. They were decent outboards, worked them hard duck hunting in the Suisun Marsh pushing heavily loaded aluminum boats.
