Pete, I think I found you.

That's me! My friend just sold that super solid 70 Challenger. It's a small world in the Mopar world! Lol

I have hair because I can! I guess I didn't realize that I was in the picture, I guess that's why it sold for the full asking price! I am going to have to model with all of them from now on! You either have what it takes, or wish you did! Sex sells! Lol!

What was that commercial from the eighties? "Don't hate me because I 'm beautiful!" Lol! It's funny that you found that picture though!

Yeah, I'm always looking. I got pretty much the same car as your buddy just sold. If you ever get your Charger done you could pose next to it, with your Gene Simmons hair do.:nutkick:

That Challenger that he just sold is the most solid all original panel e body that I have ever seen. Right out of Southern California, rock solid. I hope to see the Charger run and drive before the end of the year! My friend has a bunch of Challengers,so he decided to cut a few of the project cars loose. I bought a 71 Charger R/T from him that is just as solid as this Challenger is. He brought a bunch of cars back from out west years ago. I hope that they don't ever ask you to pick me out of a lineup, because I would be done! Lol My hair has gone full Kowalski! Lol I just need a white Challenger R/T and some open road. My Challengers are blue and purple and don't have roofs!

Steve, I got another 71 Charger R/T, that car might be able to get to the show, the white car is not going to be ready, I wish it was!

The last time I was at the show I took my van.I had the only B van at the show. It was snowing out and windy,we were drinking beer in the van,it was a good time!

Awesome September 12th this year hopefully no snow then

Unfortunately I have not had any time to get any more done on the car. So today I had a few minutes to paint the new water pump. I know it's kind of trivial but I figured that any forward progress is something. I had to help my friend get his Challenger R/T SE ready to sell, and move a couple of the other projects to his place where he generously offered to store them for me for a while. I got family commitments for the next couple weeks so I don't know when I can get back on the car. View attachment 1147575
That's life getting in the way. Same here..
But keep on working on the small stuff, eventually it will all come together.

So this is where the project is at now. It is on the lift so I can clean up the underside of the trunk floor pan. I replaced the center section of the trunk floor with a section from an original Charger, in between the frame rails. I retained the original spotwelds on the frame rails. Once I get this area cleaned up and blended in and painted, I can get started on the mechanicals and suspension. The other 70 Charger R / T in the photo is the car that the driveline will eventually end up in. I am hoping to build the matching numbers engine for the V code, and have it ready to go into the car when the driveline swap occurs. The other Charger R / T is also a California car, and an original plum crazy purple car. The plan for that car is to build a replica of the purple 70 440 Sixpack View attachment 870921 Charger R / T Daytona sunroof car.
Hi there I'm just wondering what kind of lift you have with the name Brand and where you got it from?

Unfortunately there has not been any time to get much done on the Car did buy a set of 440 push rods for the car from an Fbbo member, they should be here soon. I didn't want to use the tapered end ones that came with the engine. The engine has a new comp cam and lifters so I figured I would be better off with standard diameter push rods. Between extra hours at work, family obligations, trying to get things done around the house, and preparing for the hurricane which fortunately missed us,there has been very little garage time.

The set of push rods arrived yesterday, thanks to FBBO member Robert, aka yella 71. I just have to pick up a can of camshaft lubricant and I can assemble the top end of the engine.

I have been slacking on it,between working overtime, and the honey do list around the house, there hasn't been much car time!

Overtime? Like 10 hour days, 6 days a week?
