I have a Harley for sale and a buyer from another state and I'm needing advice on how to proceed. Person wants to buy and have it shipped.
Any advice is appreciated Thanks ruffcut

Bank to bank Wire transfer.
Wait a day or two.
THEN and only then allow a shipper to pick it up

I sold my K5 Blazer to a guy in Germany in December. I filled out title including notary. He then wired money. He arranged shipping. Once money was confirmed I allowed pic up and included title w bill of sale.

Be careful with wire to wire. Under NO circumstance the buyer sees your account #. In fact, set up a separate account just for his payment.

I just did this.. The bank set up a special routing number to my checking acct.. The next day I transferred the money to my savings for extra security ... No biggie
The " special Routing number" will prevent them from being able to get back in to the account is what the banker told me....

Bank transfer is fine, there's no way they can get the money back out. Having said this, I did set up a separate account when I sold a car to a guy in Israel a few years ago.
It was at the suggestion of my banker to set up a temp account, although like I said they can't get it out of your regular account either.
It doesn't cost anything to be extra safe!

Thanks to all for the info. All was just what I was thinking, but wanted a second opinion to verify. ruffcut
