Calling it a Day Retirement

:poke: maybe another $100k :bananadance:
I told my boss on Friday, that June 30th would be my last day. He followed up with “how much would it take for you to stay?”.

I paused and said it’s “not about the money.”

1 July I’ll be a retired guy!
Congrats on the decision...

I'm with ya, it isn't always about the $$$
albeit you need enough to survive, keep you busy
& not get too bored...

You will find plenty of things to fill the time & spend the $$$

is my last day!

CALLING IT
Today is my last day at work !!!!!!!!!!!!
6 years of college
10 years as a police officer
10 years owing a construction company
15 years working at a chemical plant
I think I put my time in and it is time to start enjoying life.
By design, this is also my wife's last day working at for a local hospital (35 years for her).
So now we will sell just about everything, grab the truck and trailer, and go explore this
great country for the next couple of years.
Once the housing market settles down we can build/buy our new home (with a large pole barn) and
get back to the things we enjoy, restoring cars (Me) and restoring furniture (Her).
All I can say is, "It is about time!"

I will still be on the site just not as much, but in a couple of years I will post the next project (Superbird??????)

For what it is worth, it has been one hell of a ride so far, and I would do it all over again. It has made me the man that I am, and I kinda like him/me.
