Mom used to dry out/clean our ear canals with Q-tips back in the '60's and I still use 'em for that. I don't see a problem with 'em if you are careful.

I go over this with my GF everytime we have ice cream... She doesn't understand how I can eat it so fast, she suffers from brain freeze.... I tell her I'm lucky, you can't freeze what you don't have...

Kroil Oil, PB Blaster, and Marvel Mystery Oil will dissolve your ear wax. Just make sure to rinse each ear afterwards with CRC Brakleen.

Do not smoke while using any of the above.

I'm not sure modern brake clean will do the job, might want to grab the carb cleaner..

Car keys get in there and scrape out the crusties. Some work better than others. Old worn out keys are easier on the skin.
