Must see! Steve Magnate talks Unrestored 1969 Dodge DAYTONA w/3k miles being auctioned by Richmond Auctions

Why would an unrestored car have black fender scoops?

Good thing to see Steve is out and about, skinnier and slower but alive thankfully..Like Adam Read is a walking encyclopedia of music, he's a walking encyclopedia of 60's cars I think..

Black scoop..possibly owner had it painted to make it different, or dealer special ordered it that way (it may have just taken a phone call back then), or had it done themselves to make it stand out. I did notice the scissor jack had lot of usage wear on top both in video and in the magazine article.

Surprised it's not being trailered out to Arizona next month,

Sure looks like a clear coat was applied.

Also the rubber trim he mentions behind the nose looks like orange tape line on it. Maybe that's found on these?

How come the entire outer body and interior look mint, and yet the inner fender with the fender tag area is all scabby|?

If someone was taking care of the car all these years, surely that would be a bit tidier?

Good to see Steve up and about, but there's a LOT of BS out there in Mopar world. You just need the correct strainer to maneuver your way through it!
