I have a few B bodies from 68-70 with Dana 60s in them, I am looking at a 72 Road Runner project and was wondering if the differential (rear end) is the same width or different?

The standard carpet sets still have some backing like the originals, and are the only ones I have bought. I believe the mass backing ones have it everywhere.
I have a couple of those myself and agree they are some nice well made units. Only gripe I have with them is their use of Green bearings instead of oem style tapered bearings.
What do you think caused the crack? I have a Alterkation in my 65 Belvedere (yet to be driven). I also have a 540 Indy aluminum engine but, I am sure the car will be lighter than yours. Maybe less stress? Did you talk to Bill about the problem?

Thats interesting and I could see how that would happen. My trans does get warm I'm sure. I haven't noticed any issues yet but heat soak between runs during a heat is definitely a concern.
That is what the original owner told me when I asked "manual steering and brakes, power windows?".

Dave's 67 R/T is a sweet ride, but it looks much better with the wheels that are on it now. There was too much yellow before, now there is some contrast.
