First of all, I’d like to clarify - yes, I’m an idiot.
I had recently reinstalled my headers on my charger. I noticed that the front driver side didn’t look flush with the cylinder head. The bolts seemed tight so I decided to take the front two out to clean the threads and retorque them...
Hi, all. Something I have yet to address on my charger is the battery tray. I noticed that the one in it is not a charger battery tray and it never had any hold down hardware. I was using a tarp strap up until now haha. Anywho I ordered a reproduction tray from classic industries with the hold...
I got thinking the other day about the front bumperettes on 69 chargers. Were the large ones a special order option? I’ve seen them on both SEs and R/Ts. Probably base models too but who knows what is original anymore. I just kinda like the look of the larger ones; they make the front bumper...
I’ve never had much of an issue starting my charger over theu past few years. In the past week though if I’m not babysitting it while it warms up and it dies, it’s a real mofo to fire back up. A lot of cranking and holding the accelerator down.
That’s exactly what happened last night before a...
Good day, everyone! (Доброго дня всім!)
Was thinking about keeping my ‘69 charger a bit cooler this year but have a bit of a conundrum. It’s originally a 383 car with a 1973 440 in it currently. So it’s hard to say which fan shroud a guy should buy.
It seems to have the original 22” radiator in...
When I bought my car it came with a bunch of parts. One being the rear window interior trim brand new in the TrimParts box. Yesterday I painted them an off white and today I was excited to install them. But something wasn’t right. They didn’t fit worth a ****. And then I got thinking….. could it...
I’m in unfamiliar territory, fellers. I noticed earlier this spring that the inside of my RR tire has fluid on it. I did my research on fbbo and figured the axle seal is leaking. So I read it could be from pressure and the vent might be clogged so I removed it, cleaned it up, and was able to...
Fellas, what is the right eyelet size for a rear shock of a 69 charger? I broke one the other day, ordered Munroes that are supposed to fit a big block mopar but found the top eyelet on the new shock is too small for my bolt. The old shocks’ eyelets are 5/8” and the top eyelet of this new Munroe...
Hey fellas. Just wondering if there is a way to adjust my passenger bucket seat so the seatback will lock without help.
It releases just fine and folds back and forth very smoothly, however the bar that strikes the release mechanism is slightly too far forward for the seat to reset without...
My ol’ 440 is a little grisly and I’ve been thinking about just pressure washing it at the local car wash. There’s oil and gunk all over and mouse turds sitting on the valley pan. I’ve only had my charger for a couple years and have never washed it (but yes I still clean it) and the only thing...
Does anyone else boil with anger when you see “just testing the waters” in a car ad? I can’t stand it! You’re either selling it or you ain’t. It’s your car - figure out what it’s worth and what you want for it. If you’re not a serious seller, you won’t get serious buyers.
Plus, “testing the...
Saw this on Christmas Eve just east of Humboldt, SK. I took these pictures on Christmas Day…. Very interested to know what happened here. Not very often you see a mopar muscle car in December around here considering it’s -27C and the highways are saltier than McDonald’s fries.
Looks like they...
I’ve been following the build of a 1968 Charger on youtube by “Rust Bucket Restos”.
Now, this guy is quite brave and certainly has the skills to build the car but, holy cow, it’s like he says “I bought a roof with a vin.”
He can do whatever he wants (and yes it’s somewhat admirable that he’s...
Hey all. My seats in my 69 charger have been redone not all that long ago. Not sure exactly how long ago because the loser I bought it from was just a car flipper and didn’t know anything about it.
Anywho… the seat backs tend to come loose and fall off every now and again. Obviously the problem...
When I got my 69 charger it had a dinky little grant steering wheel in it and I really didn’t like the looks of it. Found a used wood grain wheel and bought it. I changed it but never did get the horn working after changing it. I know it works because when I was torquing it on, the socket was...
Whenever I have the charger out and about it’s a guarantee to get at least one “hey nice car!”.
It’s nice to receive compliments and all but what really is the right response? Thanks? I know? I agree?
The compliment is really directed to the car so why would I say thanks? Perhaps if I had built...
Sometimes I think it’s alright. Most times I think it’s too quiet.
Does my timing sound like it needs adjusting?
What do you think?
By the way, it’s a 1973 440 with longtube headers, dual 2.5” pipes going through dynomax something-rathers.
I know that my 1969 charger is a Hamtrack car. Other than that, don’t know much of its history. So, if there were 89xxx chargers produced in 69, how many of those cars were sold in Canada? It couldn’t have been that many. Were all Canadian-sold cars from the Hamtrack factory?
If you think...
I FINALLY got my lights working so I decided to hit the highway and head into the darkness this evening and came across a beeeeeauuutiful prairie sunset.
Hello everyone. It’s been pointed out that I haven’t formally introduced myself on fbbo yet. So here I go:
My name is Nigel. I’m your average Polish-Ukrainian living on the Canadian prairies. I fell in love with 2nd gen chargers watching DOH reruns as a kid. And since then I’ve learned to...
