Pulling my 4 speed for a refresh and new to them, do these both fit my 65? Shopping for clutches so looking for recommendations. Right now I have a mildly warmed over 383 but within a year I hope to build/buy a mild stroker in the 5-525hp range. Not sure if I'll make it to the strip, so mostly street driven, but certain the clutch will get some love once in awhile. Thanks guys.

If your car has the stock bellhousing it's going to be a 10.5. The 11" style will not fit in the factory 1965 bellhousing. I believe the bolt pattern is different for an 11" clutch so it. Wouldn't bolt to your 10.5" flywheel.

I went with a mc leod flywheel, disk and pressure plate. Seems like good stuff so far.

If you don't mind me asking do you have a Street Pro a Super Street Pro?

It was the street clutch... I can get you the part number on Monday let me know if you want it.
I believe the performance one requires the overcenter spring to be removed and the extra clamping force made it so that z-bar reinforcements were needed. I decided to keep it simple and the clutch works great for me.

Will that 10.5" clutch work behind a 440? I currently have a 383 with a 10.5" clutch in my charger and will be replacing it with a 440 soon. Can I use the 10.5" setup or do I have to track down an 11"?

Thanks. They have most of the brands on Summit including both of the McLeods. Street one is very reasonable money.

I'm using a 11" Centerforce dual friction clutch on a 143 teeth flywheel bolted on a rebuild 383. Since it was an auto before, I had to find a bellhousing to fit the 11" clutch. I did but had to alter/customize the Z-bar to align properly.

Friend of mine once had a 440 stroked to 496cui with a 10.5" clutch. Burned it.

Also check www.brewersperformance.com. He's a real pleasure to do business with.
