2015 5th Annual FABO NHRA "Pick 'Em" Game - Are You Ready To Make Your Picks???

OK, so what do Hector Arana Jr., Larry Dixon, Erica Enders-Stevens, Courtney Force, John Force, Matt Hagan, Robert Hight, Allen Johnson, Doug Kalitta, Larry Morgan, Matt Smith and Del Worsham all have in common? They're NHRA "Pick 'Em" game picks that didn't get to the 2nd round of eliminations today. It was brutal.
Before I get to the game points, I need to offer a special "congratulations" to 'YoungGun74' (FABO) for being the only game player that didn't get bit by the "opening round of eliminations loser" bug. All but one of got bit, some of us more than others.

Here are the results and point standings following completion of the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, FL.
Congratulations to 'Duster79' (FABO) for winning the "Top Picker Eliminator" title for this event with an outstanding point total of 136.5 points. He picked the class winner in Pro Stock, his Top Fuel and Pro Stock Motorcycle picks went to the final round of eliminations before losing, and, yes, his Funny Car pick went out in the opening round.
'Budnicks' (FBBO) was the event runner-up with 131.0 points with a class win in Funny Car, and his Top Fuel and Pro Stock picks went to the finals but lost. His Pro Stock Motorcycle pick didn't even make it off the starting line in the opening round of eliminations.

Here's where the bonus points were earned if you picked the right drivers:

Nice job, guys. Good representation for FBBO so far. Even though I picked EK in PSM, I was glad to see Karen win. She's a very nice person - good to see her back out there.

Sent a PM to bobtile about an hour ago reminding him to post his NASCAR picks for Fontana...

Oops! This post was meant for the NASCAR game thread!

He's in the Cayman Islands IIRC,
you may have to use his picks from last week

Here's your 'Tuesday before the event' reminder to get your picks posted for the upcoming 4-Wide Nationals. As always, your picks need to be posted before Pro Qualifying starts at 12:45PM EDT (9:45AM PDT) on Friday, March 27.
There will not be any last-minute reminders to get your picks posted because I will be in Las Vegas at "Mopars At The Strip".
I won't be home until late Sunday so the results may take a day or two to get posted - be patient.

As previously mentioned, here is how the scoring will be done for the 4-Wide Nationals:

Points change for 4-Wide Nationals event ONLY!!!
Same rules as the past several years:

This event only has 3 rounds of eliminations. Event scoring will be similar to the NHRA points scoring.

Qualifying position bonus points are the same as always

Each pro elimination round is run with 4 cars per race rather than 2, and 2 cars advance from each of the first 2 rounds of eliminations.

First round: Four races of four cars each. The 1st car of each race to cross the finish line will get 10 points, the 2nd car will get 5 points. Eight cars advance to the second round of eliminations.

Second round: Two races of four cars each. Same scoring as the first round. Four cars advance to the final round of eliminations.

Final round: One race of four cars. 1st Place finisher will get 10 points, 2nd Place will get 5 points, 3rd Place will get 3 points, 4th Place will get 1 point.

Same scoring for quickest e.t. and fastest speed for the event and for any national record set at this event.

Again, this scoring will be for this event only.

Don't forget to post your picks before Pro Qualifying starts - you don't want to miss out on all the bonus points.

Im in Tijuana for work right now and there's no English channels so I thought I would pass sometime with you guys. I think I went back 8 places in the 4 wide race! Don't think I ever do good on that one.hope I make it back to Chicago ! The weather is great ! We flew in to San diego and the customer picked us up at airport and took us into Tijuana . Dart is the customer and they have a huge plant outside of the city , they pick us up and drive us back and forward , which is great cause we would get lost every day, it's worst than Boston or New Jersey when it comes to driving. Think I found an old movie I could watch , with the sound off. Catch you guys later.

Vegas next April 10-12

no points results ?? where's the updates ??
ocdart's probably recovering from MATS or something

either way my picks pretty much sucked,
seems it went the same way last year in the 4 wide race too

atleast next race I know not to pick Hagan anymore ....
